[Anyone that knows Chloe knows she doesn't do confinement. She can barely stay put in a flat for a month, let alone a room full of half-strangers (half-strangers that she appreciates, of course, but you can't let your guard down when you're sharing air with someone a foot from you at just about all times.) and the constant reminder of a locked door stuck firmly in her peripheral vision. Beating it into the side of her head that there's no escaping the usual itch when it hits. When she can't sleep and the air feels stale, thick enough to choke on.
And it's an extension of the mutiny: of keeping on a disguise to mask the cracks. Only this time there's no shrugging off the thought that they've failed. That shaking the contents of this shoddy station didn't do enough to wake the transports and get them moving again.
That she's alone in a crowd-- which is, in absolutely every possible aspect-- so much worse than just being alone.
So she tries to stay focused. Tricks to keep her fingers nimble, exercise (and god it's too cramped for anything proper) to burn off wanderlust; network scanning comes later and she is as petulant and wound up when it comes to tapping out messages as she was the day they'd dragged her in. Either way, she's not her usual, enjoyable self. And it's a shame for anyone stuck in there with her.]
