help me, i'm losing

Summary: being emotionally, physically, and mentally drained.
Warnings: avert your eyes, gilbert. also discussion of murder and violence. traumatic origin story™ time.
[ It doesn't feel quite right, lying between sheets with their legs entangled, slightly tipsy and spoiling their appetites on the remaining chocolates Kate had brought back from Basel. It doesn't feel right to lay here, close to the one woman she's felt the strongest connection to in a long time, and not talk about it.
However, she's in no rush to explain why and how it all came to be. The mask, the uniform, the lack of warning she hadn't given Roslyn. She thought she could keep it safe. Keep her safe. What is the point of a secret identity in a war?
She shuffles closer to Ros, wiping her own brow and catching her breath. A release was nice, but she's already burned out when she knows she shouldn't be, physically speaking. It's the mental stress of the past few days crashing down. ]
... I really can't wait to have a normal bed again.

Batgirl and Blue Beetle during that mess. They were able to open the doors again. I'm not in regular contact with the others like her or Huntress.

I've spoken to both of them. And Huntress. Canary when she was here. Oracle. [ There are more than a few of them, really. ] They brought several of the vigilante type here.

Oracle I've never met. Heard of her, but they don't do face-to-face from what I recall.

[ A faint hum of consideration. The pillow talk she has with this woman, really. She's silent for a little while, turning that over, before she switches subjects. A little more time to process and consider what's been said on vigilantism might be necessary. ] I still have to figure out what to do with all the mutineers now that I have them.

Parole officers? We don't have a legal system, which I don't doubt one of them is going to bring up in their defense.
Their intent might not have been to harm someone, but some weren't willing to talk it out.
[ She looks at her arm, her skin mended thanks to Ella's magic. ]

[ A slight sigh. ] Frankly, I can't justify punishing them harshly to myself. At least not without arresting some people on the other side too for their behavior.

[ While she's angry, she's not sure what went down with Sev and Koltira that "required" her death. ]
Ella was badly hurt, but she's not human, so she healed like it was nothing. Two of those siding with Cutter and Frazer attacked us.

[ The whole thing was. She stirs, finally, turns her head to press her lips to whichever part of Kate is nearby at the time before she stands. Back to work, then. ]
I'll have to get statements on how that final confrontation went eventually, I suppose. [ Starting to slip on her own clothes. ] For the moment I suppose I'm simply glad you're all right.

Her arm is closest and she pauses, letting the kiss linger. She smiles and gets her arms through her bra, fumbling with the straps to hook everything in place. ]
But if Ella wasn't what she is, we would have had a dead kid on our hands along with the other woman.
[ Whatever she is. ]
