Her smile falls and he instantly regrets his word choice. "Er... no, I know," he says, shifting uncomfortably. "I know it wasn't anybody's fault. Too soon, I guess, huh. Sorry."

At the mention of Kaneis, he really wants to mention how he totally called their relationship like months ago, but refrains for the moment. He blinks when she touches her cheek and then sort of laughs at her inquiry.
