"That's true." She calms down a little at that statement in the bizarre way minor pain in a long-held sore spot of an extremity distracts from a gaping wound. "Even the Department's staff is chewed up and spit out by the transporter..." Her eyes narrow, not resting on either adult. Abduction has always been anathema to her, and it's the backbone of the organization that substitutes for her heartbeat. The cognitive dissonance is a much less pleasant tingle than the water in her hands can provide; it's cooled down some anyway.
