Summary: Takes place after Trucy's performance!

[ In only a short hour, Trucy had been able to make a lasting impression. Despite the run down venue, she skillfully entertained the audience, even though she was lacking her signature pair of hammerspace panties. She made up for it with an umbrella she'd acquired, just earlier that day! Now everyone could say they'd seen a frozen chicken fly. And the more rougher members of the audience were dazzled by Trucy's card tricks! (even though it might be considered cheating, considering.. it was an actual magic card deck.)

Now that it's over, feel free to linger around, have a drink.. though don't expect any high-grade booze. You can also try to congratulate the intrepid magician on her star performance! You know, if you're able to sift through the crowd of leather-clad ruffians flooding around her. ]

[ Whew. That sure was a work out! Trucy might've even worked up a bit of a sweat. After about 10 minutes of congratulations from various convicts, Trucy had to step out for a moment; so she quietly dipped out of the back entrance.

She's just going to sit outside of the bar now, looking pooped but proud. ]

[ How did Collette get back out behind the bar?

... No one needs to know. Either way, she calls out from a little distance away, firmly seated in her wheelchair. ]

Trucy! That's you, isn't it? Congratulations on the performance! It was great!

Colette! Hi! [ Trucy tiredly waves over! ] I'm glad you liked it! Too bad I didn't have my panties, though..

Hey! Trucy! [Making her way over and waaaaaving] That was awesome! You'll have your own circus in no time!

[ She finds herself laughing, shaking her head. ]

Maybe we could go shopping to find you a new pair. I don't know if it'll be as good as what you had before, and the umbrella's pretty cool! But if it's all in the underwear...

[ She shrugs, rolling her wrists so both palms are turned upward. ]

When are you thinking you'll do another one of these?

Hmm, I dunno.. I had mine on special order. [ putting her finger to her chin. ] But.. I wonder what future underwear is like! Maybe it's a lot fancier and more technological than underwear from my time!

[ this is exciting, and something she has to do now. ]

I'm not sure! Every one and a while, I guess! A girl's got to eat, you know, so I have to make money somehow.

Ah! You really think so? I never thought about owning a circus before.. We could have gorillas and lions and dinosaurs and everything!

[ Trucy no you can't have dinosaurs ]

And I could pull them all out of my umbrella!

Yeah, the Initiative's allowance isn't all that great.

[ It's still more than Collette was personally receiving for no previously understood reason than ever before in her life.

Sounds like we could launch an investigation into future underwear. You know... I've got a great suggestion for who you should take out exploring to find the best and futuristic-est out there. Have you met Marco yet?

Not at all! My allowance back home was bigger, and my dad's a piano player!

[ slash conman but that's beside the point. He also has a habit of spoiling her.. ]

Hmm.. Nope, don't know any Marcos! Why, does he have really cutting edge underwear?

[ Collette starts laughing, bringing her hands up to her mouth and solemnly nodding as she bites down on her lip and hides her grin. ]

The most cutting edge. Ask him for a demonstration of his wares. He'd be all for it! He loves showing off.

[ Probably. Collette would love to be a fly on the wall if Trucy ever took her at her joking word. ]

Definitely! We've got to get dinosaurs, no other circus would have them!

To me, it's not a true circus if there aren't at least some extinct species there.

How've you been? Um, settling in and everything.

I've been okay! Everyone's been really nice.. the people stuck here, and the staff. [ she crosses her arms. ] It makes me wonder why everyone says the Initiative guys are so horrible.

Probably because they kidnapped all of us away from our homes and told us on no uncertain terms we're only here to fight for them in one way or another.

[ She sounds remarkably cheery as she says all of this. ]

They haven't thought things through, the UE can and has infiltrated here, and they control what we can do in different ways. We're free to walk around, you know? But we can't leave.

[ She wonders what Marco really makes of all of this -- or what James would. Jake, too, but how Marco turns to Jake, she turns to James. They each have their own Big Man on Campus. ]

Not that any of that should get people down! We all have a lot of good to experience too. Like meeting all of us, from all these different places!

Yeah, I guess that does kind of alienate some people.

[ said just as cheery. ]

Some people probably had a lot to do back home.. friends, family, other important things to take care of. That does make sense. I shouldn't judge unless I know for sure why they're mad. [ a smile. ] I'm glad I got to meet you, though, Collette! And everyone else, too. It would be nice if my daddy and Polly were here, but.. they might end up here eventually.

Do you want to talk about them? Your dad and Polly. Family's pretty great. Like, it's one of the best things you have, and you're lucky when you do! Not all my friends back home have family, which makes me really appreciate the fact I do.

[ She grins, quick to add; ]

They're really supportive. Not that I need the support, but it's nice to know it's there. Is your dad like that?

Yeah.. I'm glad I have them! I really am. I just wish they were here. It can be a little lonely without them. [ a small frowny face :( ] Mhm! He's really supportive! Daddy lets me pursue whatever I want to in life. He gives me a lot of freedom, but he directs me, too, when I need it. [ and he's always a shoulder to cry on. ]

Do you have any family that's not here, Collette? I haven't heard you say anything about them!

Mm, my big brother! Him and his wife. They got married right after he finished with boot camp.

[ She misses him, but she'd missed him when he went overseas, and his wife had gone with him. Being left behind still hurt. No matter how temporary or long it might have been, was she even going to see him again? To get annoyed by what he does, to tease him and his wife, to be annoying in that special little sister way?

Probably not. But she couldn't let that matter. ]

He's in the military! The army specifically. He was recently stationed in Germany.

And think of all the people who'd come in flocks to see it!

W-Well.... I dunno, could you really fit a gorilla in there? Wouldn't it be noisy?
