No. The other side stopped attacking and ours stopped the fighting to rebuild. [a shrug. It's a lot more complicated than that, but...] Everyone thought it was over, and it seemed like it was. The monsters were all we had left to deal with. [snort.] Not that it stopped everyone from fearing an invasion at any moment. No one knew what had happened to the other side, or why they stopped attacking. Not for a long time.
