so late and i only brought bagels

[ Roslyn's in the kitchen, sitting on the table as she bends over paperwork. She hadn't been expecting Kate back quite yet, but there's a pot of soup warming over the back burner of the stove. Apparently she was intending to eat sometime soon.

But she looks up as soon as she hears Kate's voice, calls back. ]

I'm in here. How'd it go?
