A sad and lonesome me.
Date & Time: 6th January, morning
Location: Wherever!
Characters: John H. Watson and Dahlia Malloy
Summary: What better time for a first encounter when you're thinking about a dead friend?
Warnings: Minor spoilers for Sherlock series 3 in regards to how his middle name was found out! Will update if necessary
It had started innocuously enough. To everyone who knew Dr. John H. Watson, the single letter in his name aroused brief curiosity, but there was only one person who was obsessed with finding out what it stood for and would not stop until he knew.
So, when Sherlock Holmes procured his birth certificate a week later, John was understandably annoyed with the latest breach of privacy and turned to Mycroft for reprisal. The information the elder Holmes brother happily provided was a date.
Today's date.
Lost in thought, John stared at the tablet in his hands. His mind was reeling although he felt strangely rooted in one place and stayed that way for a while until someone spoke up behind him.
