But this is different. They have to know what's going on if they want any chance of returning home, and Hawke is off being Hawke. Meaning they're probably going to have to look for the biggest scene of trouble after leaving to report what they've learned. A tavern, most likely. Or one of those 'casinos', hopefully winning them enough money for a good meal or nicer hotel room perhaps. Well, Merrill could live in one of the closets and be happy enough, but there's a lot to take in and learn!
She rubs awkwardly at the pair of black pants she's had to wear, then tags at the 'blazer', which seems like an unfitting name for such a boring garment, really. But this is how people at conferences dress! She read it, she most certainly did.
