Lea had to admit, he liked missions a lot more when they were optional and he got to pick and choose which ones he went on. Granted, not being under the thumb of a power-crazed megalomaniacal nutjob helped, but time travel felt a lot less sinister when used the way the Initiative presented it (even if he was still pretty sore about the whole nuke incident).

Recon had remained one of his strong points, even so far removed from the Organization as he had grown, and so he figured he might as well put it to good use. Especially after the mission to Nepal, Lea was rather itching to slough off the whole Good Samaritan sheen and get back to a little good old fashioned sneaking around and poking his nose in places it didn't belong.

He had opted to leave his Organization coat behind, figuring since he was going to be working with people he likely didn't know he might as well at least make the effort to look trustworthy. Full length black leather trench coats made you look like a gangster, and that wasn't exactly the message he wanted to send. Jeans and a hoodie it was. The armored vest Riku had insisted he wear was heavy and a little cumbersome, but he wasn't going to complain. If he hadn't seen the vest in action he might have adamantly refused it, but... gift moogles in the mouth, and all.

Hands shoved into his pockets and a rather garish scarf draped loosely around his neck, Lea approached the Transporter room and spied a pair of young men already there. One was slim, with dark hair and a scruffy goatee. He looked younger than Lea would have expected. The other looked a little older, dishwater blond and slightly... caffeinated. No, really, he looked like he was really chomping at the bit to go on this mission. Well, there was a lot to be said for enthusiasm.

Lifting a hand in a casual wave as he advanced, Lea inclined his chin a little in greeting.

"Yo," he said; "this where the party's happening?"
