Artificial or not, Jaime considers Khaji to be alive, and he knows that it can feel sadness and anger and joy, albeit muted versions of them. He doesn't think Khaji is able to go against its programming enough to be suicidal, which is fair enough; it's not as if Jaime has gone so far down to reach that emotion either.]
