(open) ☾ dark paradise
Date & Time: October 3rd, Late Afternoon
Location: main courtyard
Characters: Yuna & Anyone!
Summary: newly arrived, dazed, and confused.
Warnings: none
[ So this was how it felt. To be robbed from your world, thrust into another, one with a slew of problems, none of which you were exactly prepared to help with. She couldn't say it was a good feeling. Finally, she could relate.
Confused and lost in a city unfamiliar, Yuna takes to wandering the courtyards in a sort of trancelike state, her mind too detached from everything right now to actually pay attention to where she's going. It felt good, if she was being honest with herself. Her mind was drained of all her worries and apprehensions for a good while, and she had reached a state of mindfulness; a state she hadn't experienced in a while. It was meditative.
In her wanderings, she heard whisper of bombings, attacks, strange masked individuals. If she'd been fully attentive, these thoughts would worry her. Maybe even convince her to ask around, see if there was anything she could do to help. Surely, if there were bombs, there would be injured people.
For now, though, she's settled on a nice, calm fountain, staring as the water streams out of it. So far, the water seemed like the only familiar thing here to her; the only thing natural. This city was laden with machina-like devices, and it was a little unnerving to say the least. ]

...Nonetheless, it was at this point that he noticed that there's someone just staring at a fountain.
...]
...Uh, hey. You okay?
[Without even thinking; his mouth moved.]
no subject
He wasn't expecting anyone else there but he's mildly surprised. ]
Ah, sorry. I didn't think anyone was out here.
no subject
O—Oh, yes, I am alright. Just.. confused.
no subject
It takes her a moment to finally open her mouth. ]
Oh, no, it's.. it's alright. [ She motions to the fountain, as if inviting him to sit if he wants. ] Are you new here as well?
no subject
[She looked foreign enough, clothing-wise, so it's pretty clear that she's confused about this place, right...?]
no subject
Yeah, just got here myself. I'm still trying to let everything about this world sink in. It's rather...different from my home world.
no subject
[ Almost blurted out; she's just really surprised, and maybe a little elated, to meet someone else not from here. ]
no subject
[ the whole 'urbane machina city' thing is throwing her off quite a bit. ]
What is your world like?
no subject
It's not as high-tech as here. Guess you can we're more...magic and mystical based in that case.
no subject
I think.. my world used to be very similar to this. But not anymore.
no subject
[There's a nod from him as he gauged her reaction; she seemed a bit surprised by this fact, and that's sort of a good thing.
Right...?]
no subject
Oh right. I didn't even introduce myself. I'm Tenjou.
no subject
[ at least, she thought it had been a few hours. She'd lost track of time. ]
Was your world.. anything like this?

[He scratched his chin as he thought about this. He sure hopes that cooking hasn't changed much in this era.
Otherwise he might be thinking of a culinary takeover instead.]
