He scowls at that mention of 'our reality' because Ms Fey can't guarantee that it's something that they share, that what had happened to her would be his future, should he ever be able to return home. He's opened her mouth to correct her, but then she smiles, and the words die in his throat. Considering the things which she thought he had done, the things that she must blame him for, the last thing he expected was for her to be wearing that damn smile. If what she said was true (and it was, at least for her), then she had every reason to hate him, not ... clear the slate? Was that what she was attempting?

Was this her way of saying that she didn't blame him? Part of him wants to shake her hand, to humor her in this little game, the other part remained suspicious, aware that this could possibly be some trick. He stared at her, the coldness of his tone at odds with the confusion evident in his expression. "I believe we're already acquainted. There's no need for this."
