Characters: Equius and anyone that previously agreed to train with him or who shows up to while he's there
Summary: TRAINING, woooo. So lots of fighting and strife and whatever else happens. Hey maybe some bonding.
Warnings: Violence.

6am, the facility opens at 6am and that's when he arrives. Equius takes his training very seriously, and besides the mandatory training periods, is here often when he's not working with his own projects or training else where. His life isn't very different here when contrasted to what he was doing on Alternia before SGRUB. About the same, well, besides all the weird aliens here and this ridiculously bad organized Initiative trying to rope and wrangle them into silly quests.

Whatever, training is nice though, at least this place gives him more time since he'd be dead otherwise.

Equius can be found in the training facility for a while, training for himself, working up a sweat firing arrows at moving targets or working on some hand to hand. Your character might come across him accidentally breaking training equipment that's not supposed to be broken, of even smashing through the floor a little, or even a wall. Whoops. Otherwise he's rather quiet as he practices archery, or lifts ridiculous amounts of weights. Kid might be young but damn is he strong.

[OOC: FREE FOR ALL. Tag in separately like you would in any log or feel free to jump into threads with other people if your character would arrive at that time. Just give the other person a message to see if they're okay with it first.]

Minato's speed does him well, Equius might be fast but his speed doesn't compare to his stamina and strength, so that hit to his waist connects. It jerks his back a little but he doesn't seem phased, shrugging his shoulders and rolling an arm before he moves to the side and sends a punch towards Minato's upper right shoulder. Boxing, yes? So he won't include any strong jumping or smashing, after all, he's not trying to kill this boy, just get their blood flowing.

He was counting on that hit to do more than it did, so Minato takes the hit full on. His Persona allows him to take the hit and keep going, but the force sends him back a step before he's able to regain his form.

It was like he was fighting a walking tank. Not impossible, but he'd have to get creative if he wanted to stand a chance.

Surprise attacks work a lot better against Equius, that and blades. Blunt hits don't seem to phase him too much unless you are hitting him with cars or something. He'll easily get swung away with a hit to the face he's not expecting though, not that it will really hurt him.

As soon as Minato stumbles back Equius is closing in, sending another hit towards Minato's stomach and ready to follow with a second to the same area. He's getting a little more comfortable with the idea of hitting him because he seemed to take that shoulder hit all right?

Rather than dodging outright, Minato catches the first blow from the side, pushing it out of the way and using the leverage to clear the second; it was a little trick he'd learned from watching Akihiko and Shinjiro back home.

He decides to risk a counter with a kick this time, sweeping around and going for the back of the knee, calling on Susano-o for strength. It's a move that could be easily punished if done incorrectly or properly stopped, but in a spar like this, it was worth the chance to see what Equius would do.

Equius immediately pulls the bunch a little when Minato catches it, worried that he'll break the other's hand. The trick is a gutsy one, throws Equius off a little because normally people aren't so brash when hand to hand fighting him.

The kick is a surprise though, Equius hadn't thought they were to use their feet as well in this. So the sweep downs him fast, quickly getting up and hopping back with a snarl before he shoots a fist forward with a little more strength in it this time. The kick got his blood boiling, whoops.

Whoops indeed. Angry opponents were both easier and more dangerous to deal with. A bad move could put an end to it.

He leans back to evade the hit, but misjudges the distance. He takes the hit to the chest and falls back onto the mat. It was a sizable hit, but he wasn't about to let it end there. He manages to get to his feet again, taking stance and readying for the next blow, intending to counter that one, as well.

Equius strikes again, even as he falls back, fist whipping forward, slashing his leg quick after, mimicking as Minato did.
