kingside: (DRAMATIC CHEESE-KUN)

[The end of the conversation had been abrupt, but Lelouch is well past caring as he stashes his tablet in his jacket, pushes himself to his feet, and sets off to his apartment's exit without another word, fully trusting in the fact that C.C. will follow him either immediately or in her own time. For Kallen to have said as little as she had, something has to be seriously wrong, but for the life of him, he can't put his finger on what. The most likely explanation he can think of is that they have an enemy in the city, but who? The emperor? One of his siblings? A Knight of the Round?

A thin hand drifts to wear his weapon is concealed then, but it's unconsciously, just to check that it's there before he steps outside. He still isn't convinced that enemies are what Kallen wants to talk to him about (for one, she wouldn't have given out her apartment number so readily if she had), but what else can he think? Or...

Well. He'll find out when he gets there.

Out the door he goes, C.C. following in his wake, and without paying a great deal of attention to his surroundings, he heads down the hall and to the elevator. The rest of the journey passes in silence, Lelouch remaining deep in thought throughout, and when they finally arrive in front of apartment 508, it's only reluctantly that he redirects his focus outward, to the meeting to come. He'll find out what the fuss is sooner rather than later anyway; there's no sense in dwelling on it longer.

With one last glance to his side to make sure that C.C. is still there and hasn't wandered off out of boredom, he reaches out and knocks.]
