It looks almost as out of place as she does, dressed in her white Confessor's dress long hair cascading down her shoulders, she finds some comfort in the dress even though she need not wear it. Such small comforts makes the day to day easier, makes it easier (but not by much) to accept she cannot return to Richard like she wants.

Thoughts not to dwell on, it only causes her unnecessary frustration and her wanderings into the library are supposed to distract her from such things. She moves around without really much of a thought to what she wants nor her destination, for the moment she is simply amazed by the amount of books.
