His smile becomes more brighter when it's returned, so far he hasn't had negative reactions yet, but it was always nice when someone reacted positively. He knows not everyone reacts well when approached by some stranger, especially one that might be a bit odd-looking like him. At least back home the horns weren't that much of an oddity.
