[open] I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Date & Time: May 23rd, Sometime?
Location: Training Hall!
Characters: Zelos/Kaneis & YOU!
Summary: Blowing off some feelings and what not by training
Warnings: Oh the usual Zelos jerkass warning wooo
[For what's probably a first in a long time, Zelos can be found in the training room. ]
[He seems to be at one of the punching bag stations, punching and kicking away as if the punching bag did something to offend him. His movements are almost perfectly smooth, moving and turning like its some sort of dance than a one sided fight. ]
[Six billion. That's the number of people on Earth around that time, according to the library. Six billion people were either dead or soon to be dead. Because of the UE, because of the Initiative, and because the transports wanted so badly out of this war.]
[Including himself. He had spent so much time thinking of only himself and how to get out of this mess, he didn't care about any of the consequences when that announcement had been made - like so many. And because of that, an entire world was gone.]
[A powerful kick causes the punching back to fall off it's chain, falling to the ground with a loud crash. Zelos seems less than surprised by it. Instead he puts one hand on his hip while using the other to wipe his brow]
Damn. I've gotten slower.
[Guess that's what he gets for training so little the past six months, huh?]

... I didn't know healers could hit that hard.
no subject
Of course we can! It's good for realigning spines!

If you hadn't healed me before, I wouldn't think you were a medic.
no subject
Well I'm also a swordsmen, so I could get the mistake.

[Heeeeeeeeere we go.]

What's a paladin?
no subject
no subject
No.
no subject
Not fond of the Light?
no subject
Light? I can use it as an element, but I'd hardly call myself a servant to anything.

[This guy just keeps getting more interesting. Maybe he's not an airhead after all.]
I'm sure they exist, but the majority of healers draw their power from their faith.

Must be different in your world. Magic in my world draws upon an energy called mana. They say the Goddess creates mana, but I've never heard of one's magic power changing based on how faithful you are to the church.
no subject
The 'gods' who made my world abandoned it shortly thereafter. I highly doubt they are worthy of worship, nor do they care.
no subject
Sounds pretty typical of gods, alright.
[Zelos knows that it'd be wiser to play the role of a believer in the church. A typical mercenary wouldn't know that there was anything wrong about the Goddess and most were followers at least in name. ]
[Still, after years of faking that role? He finds it too distasteful to even try it now]
So you can't actually heal with arcane energies?
no subject
[He leans on his staff.]
I can conjure food and water, for what it's worth.
no subject
....Is it good food? [Because that's what matters]
no subject
Try it.
no subject
[He considers not eating, but you know what? Why not? He'll reach over and take it in his hands and take a bite out of it]
- Whoa!
[swallowing]
That's incredible!
no subject
Culinary gifts do help with the conjuring.
no subject
Can't say mine do. The best sustenance I could make is a splash of water.
no subject
You can cast offensively?
no subject
Yep! I'm not as skilled as a full sorcerer, but I got some offensive spells.
no subject
My knowledge of magic from other worlds is rather limited. A demonstration would be nice.

[He'll consider for a moment what to use. Since it'd probably be a good idea not to ruin the training area too much, he'll finally settle on the target being one of the dummies. He concentrates, a green glyph glowing on the floor around him, before he releases the spell and the dummy starts to get ripped to shreds in what seems to be a green wind tornado.]
no subject
He lets out a little breath as the spell dissipates, staring at the damage.
That was awesome.]
Impressive. What was your name again?
