Draconic constructions [Open!]
Date & Time: Backdated late June to mid-July
Location: All about the city
Characters: Celena and Open!
Summary: Celena sets herself to helping with repairs and constructions about the city and properly stretching her wings.
Warnings: None as yet.
[A] Helping with repairs.
For nearly half a month already, Celena had been hard at work repairing what she could, offering her assistance to any who would accept it. There was still much to be done but it was to the point now where she could focus beyond the immediate short term necessities of the natives effected. Putting her services out for those who still needed assistance in their repairs.
[B] Constructions abound.
Having taken time from repairs Celena finally set to the construction of her own abode, she needed a place where she could work relatively undisturbed. Having found a suitable location not far out from the initiatives Hold, a rather large ruin well beyond repair, Celena had set about salvaging what brick, metal and timber she could before clearing the rest. Something she had become quite skilled at during her works on board the Transmigration 9.
Without assistance the task would take some time indeed, thus she put out a call for assistance with the matter, it would be a good chance to get to know those she was to work with should any take up the call.
[C] In flight.
Every morning near without fail Celena's draconic form would grace the skies above Exsilium. Whether simply flying high above, enjoying the air beneath her wings or swooping almost daringly low over the rooftops as she honed her skill in this new city. She did miss having taller obstacles to weave her way between but she made do where she could.
After her flights she would oft rest a while finding building tops that would support her weight set down upon and watch the goings on of the city for a time.
[B] Anything else!

Well, sort of. He manages to stay aloft and learns that about half the time he can manage to fly around the skies of Exsilium . . . the other time his wings will sometimes forgets he is even flying and his own mind is forced to take over, resulting in rather spectacular crash landings.
How is he uninjured is a mystery that Aurican is not interested in solving, thank you.
As he attempts his umpteenth time at launching himself into the sky, he spots splotches of red and gray amongst the drab color of the Exsilium sky.
Determined to at least reach the dragon, Aurican jumps up and climbs into the sky.

Quite curious, Celena tipped on wingtip, bringing her course around gradually to bring her closer to the young dragon. Intrigued by the unusual workings of his wings and the way they pushed him through the air.
Once she was sure she would be within earshot, she called out with a cheerful tone, "Greetings!"
no subject
"Hello, ah - " He scrambles to try to remember this dragon's name. "Celena? I am Aurican."
no subject
Adjusting her course and speed with a thought to better match his own to fly alongside. Watching him curiously the motions of his wings and the way he flew cluing her in somewhat to how new he was to flight.
no subject
He is grateful she is slowing down for him as he learns to readjust himself as he attempts to hover, which is easier said than done.
no subject
She brings herself to a hover easily by him, and a little off to the side, watching him carefully.
no subject
"How do you fare with Exsilium?"
no subject
"I fare quite well, despite an eventful first month," she comments with a gesture to the ground below, much of the destruction from the bombing quite evident, "I have had much opportunity to put my skills with construction to use and indeed, have an abode of my own in progress,"
"What of yourself, Aurican, how have you fared in your time here?"
B.
Well, he was assuming it was the right place at any rate, since he was making the assumption that construction sites don't come equipped with fully grown dragons loitering around.
Now, while she might have come across as very friendly over the network, Jake still found himself creeping forward slowly as he got closer to his goal. He'd spent a good chunk of his life trying to avoid confrontations with the dragon on his island, and this was no easy thing to overcome!
no subject
"Greetings, you can approach you know, I won't bite," she called out cheerfully, having noticed his approach even as she'd been working. Not looking around to him as she tapped the crystal device that hung around her neck. The same holographic plan of the building materializing, nodding to herself before turning to him.
"It is good to see that you made it,"
no subject
He forced out a laugh, and tried to act dismissive of comment like the thought she might maul him had never even crossed his mind. "I'm glad I managed to find my way over here! That map of yours sure was handy though." Even if he still managed to get lost. No need to bring that up.
"So then is all of that your plan for all of this." He pointed first to her building plan, and then made a sweeping gesture at the site.
no subject
"Indeed it is, there are still changes being made here and there as alternatives are brought up and additions added, but by and large the designs are complete," she nodded, before with a gesture the designs shrank rapidly and floated over to him, spinning slowly on spot like a partially transparent intangible model house.
no subject
"Boy, it sure looks like there's a lot of work left to do." He looked away from the map to glance around the area and see if there were any other late arrivals coming to give them a hand with all of this. Dragon or not, this seemed like more than a two people project to him.
Apologies for the delay!
"The usable materials I've salvaged thus far for the project are all located over there," With a nod she indicated the piles of neatly sorted materials, from brick to stone to timber and assorted bits and pieces.
No worries
"Er, right! Looks like it's all in order then. I guess we should get to work laying out... something somewhere."
His voice trailed off and he glanced up as his new dragon acquaintance in hopes that she had more of an idea of where to start with all of this than he did.

"At the current moment the foundations to the leftmost area here have already been completed so we can work to begin laying down the basis for the flooring,"
With a gesture she indicated the area in question, which did indeed appear to have a good measure of work already underway. With a thought she overlay the plan for the flooring to give him a good indication of how the materials and boards would fit best.
no subject
"Looks simple enough! I'm sure we can get this well under way."

"Hey," Billy greeted, laying out his plan in front of him. It could still be difficult, depending on the adjustments he needed to make for the existing plans, but he would get this done.
no subject
Dipping her head Celena greeted him in turn cheerfully, "Billy, welcome to my abode, or what shall be once it's complete," Stepping over to him she looked down to the plan he had layed out with great curiosity, "What did you have in mind?"
no subject
"There's a near-constant flow of rainwater just beneath the surface as it leaks through cracks in the concrete and trickles down. If it's collected and heated, it will warm the flooring of your home. If I dig here and build the collection and heating mechanism with an easy withdrawal shaft for maintenance, it should be fine. Right?"
no subject
Celena inclines her head in understanding, her thoughts already exploring the possibilities, "With the constant rain, that would not prove all too difficult indeed," she ponders the positions he indicates, "That would work quite well, providing under the floor heating to the whole building, excellent work Billy,"
Turning her head slightly she turns a little toward the construction site, her markings glowing once more as she projected Billy's proposed plan over the area then layered her own atop, adjusting it to suit.

With a gesture she changed the design overlay, converting one of the dragon sized rooms (basically a two storey open room) into a set of double storey rooms for more human scaled individuals. The building in question was a small run down ruin, one however that did not look like it would take too much effort to repair however.
no subject
"How many friends were you planning to invite over?"
no subject
"At this point depending on how constructions and refurbishments go, I could comfortably house up to four and more should it be needed," she offers a smile, tilting her head curiously, "Do you live in the apartments yourself? Or do you have a place of your own? If not I'd happily offer you a place here,"
