( closed to the kidnapped ) The Princess Peach Collective
Date & Time: August 31st - September 18th
Location: United Earth Holding Compound
Characters: Any and all characters kidnapped during the interim.
Summary: So you were walking around, minding your own business... and then you were in the UE. Welcome, friends! Please enjoy your stay. Try the coffee! It's fantastic! Better avoid the bread pudding, though... (Official Kidnappee Handbook is here!)
Warnings: Kidnapping/Normal gambit of medical tests/shots/reflex tests/bloodwork/etc. Please notify the mods if anything gets into explicit or upsetting territory.
Notes: Player created United Earth NPCs welcome to guest star. If you have questions regarding these, please ask the moderators. Remember, this is not a torture chamber. This is a scientific facility with military aptitude, and seeks to contain, not injure, its projects. (You are a project!)
Please start your threads with a date or timeframe in the subject line to indicate who may tag in, depending on their arrival!
Welcome to the United Earth Holding Compound. There may be an official name, but the workers never say: they all have their own names for it, and "home" is never one of them. Still, as you're left to wander the halls connecting your individual containment areas to the cafeteria of spartan design, and many automated food producers (along with an endless supply of green jello and fruit), you may begin to wonder what exactly this place is. Why would the United Earth have a sense of design?
(Because of scientists, someone might whisper, though you'll never figure out who.)
Mystery unanswered, it'll be apparent they do. Even the lounge area you have access to looks out upon an expanse of green -- one that you are allowed into, if the surrounding U of military buildings, with much less architectural flair, will steadily drive you back out if you're seen near them.
Make no mistake: your accommodations are minimal at best, laughably slapped together at the last minute at worst. Your showering and bathroom facilities are uni-sex, so the more modest amongst you may wish to figure out a schedule for guys and gals. Towels, sheets, and plenty of nice hospital gowns will be on offer; characters so interested may attempt to find the laundry facilities.
All the labs are state of the art, and the computers and such used by the United Earth far beyond what the Initiative has ever provided. The biggest downside for the Transports being held is the lack of ready entertainment. A few board games have been left in the common area, and a few decks of cards, but that's all.
Not even an e-book to read.
Have fun, Kidnapped Transports, and try not to play "spot all the security measures and all the air ducts" too too often, will you?

so he approaches her, and he doesn't mean to startle her. he makes himself plainly visible. she must've gone through hell. he can't feel it, but he can see it with his dark-circled eyes. his footsteps are silent where they'd had some sort of sound before, seeming somehow slighter with a hospital gown tied around him. he doesn't speak--every word he could say is wedged in his throat, choking his vocabulary--but just reaches a hand out to her. ]
no subject
but her face softens as she spots just who it is, not another scientist or doctor but family. ]
Oh... Riku, hello.
no subject
yet, everything he wants to know--if she's okay, if the others are here, how she's faring--needs some sort of speech. his smile fades as he hesitates, and speaks as clearly as he can to avoid being hoarse. it's only halfway there; his voice is still patchy. ]
Hey. You doing okay?
no subject
Are you... how are you doing?
no subject
[ he rubs the back of his neck, turning his view to the sky. ]
You sure you're okay?
no subject
[ she glances downwards to her hand, turning it over to glance at the ring still there. ] And... I'm scared, I think about what happened at the party. I don't want it to happen again.
no subject
[ but, a 'party'? ]
What party?
no subject
And, well... there was a party on the fifteenth. It was sort of like the one we had at the palace back in the winter or... it should have been until that giant monster- creature showed up. Whatever it was, as soon as it showed up it was like my soul gem just... stopped working, I guess it that made it easy for us to be taken.

There've been newcomers coming into the labs today, and he spots one as he's coming back from the lounge area.
For a moment the memory of a green-haired girl bowing her head to hide her tears surfaces. It's not Kido, not at all. But that helpless look is so familiar...
He slows his pace, coming to a stop before her. With a small smile, he gently touches her back.]

still unfamiliar, but no doubt another transport from the island. ]
O-oh, I'm... I'm sorry. [ a pause and she raises her hands, rubbing at her eyes. ] I'm guess I'm still jumpy...
no subject
Ah, no. I should be apologizing for scaring you! You've probably had a long day.
[It's a terrible understatement. But it's better than saying straight out you've been dragged here against your will... right?]
no subject
Ye-yeah. Were you taken at the party too?

I... I passed out though, so I don't know what else might have happened. By the time I woke up, I was already here.
no subject
He holds up the fruit in his hand--it's one of those weird hybrids that seem to be common in this world--offering it to her.] Well... this place isn't as scary as it seems. You'll have time to rest before we're rescued, all right?
no subject
Are you sure? [ this place did seem well equipped (some of the rooms aside) but she isn't sure just what the food situation is like for them. still, she nods in response to his statement. ] Yeah, I mean... they have to know something is wrong now. O-oh, and I'm Madoka.

The weather's nice, isn't it?
no subject
Mm, I'm usually only used to this much sun when we went on missions. It's actually really comforting, in a way.
no subject
( he sits next to her in a bit of a sprawl, though careful not to push into her personal space. )
I think the last time I saw this much must've been at the beach, that time in the past. Aaah, I got so burned because I wasn't careful! ( it wasn't really that much, painful though it'd felt at the time. he can chuckle, just a little, at the memory. ) I got scolded so much for it. Everyone had to go on that mission, right? So you must've been able to enjoy it too.
no subject
no subject
( there's always been a degree of faking it with his smiles since he's been here, but his warms with her laugh. this is exactly why he'd mentioned that mission in particular — it was a fairly unequivocally fond memory, something safe to bring up and hopefully ease her mood.
the assessment of how she would've looked makes him laugh. )
I'm sure you would've still looked cute, even like that. Gil got me a huge hat — ( he holds out curved arms, gesturing to indicate something big and round ) — but I couldn't wear it all the time, right? Though! ( with a wink ) Don't tell him I said that. Besides, it was worth it just to play in the sunshine for once.
no subject
[ it's nice. really, it is. she feels as though she hasn't really done much smiling or laughing since her arrival here, and memories she thought would make her sad to think about in their current situation... simply don't. they are as fond as if she is right back on that beach with her friends and family.
Madoka laughs again though, her cheeks managing to paint a well enough picture as a blush appears. ]
Hehe, thank you. Oh, a sun hat? Don't worry though, I won't and I don't blame you. It was so nice, it was definitely hard to pass up.
no subject
( it's an amusing image, for all that he doubts the answer would be yes. even the friendliest of carnivores likely have their limits, after all, but one never does know. )
That's right, a sun hat! ( his relief is most definitely exaggerated, theatrical, but again well-meaning for it. ) I won't worry, in that case. See, I thought you'd understand! And the water was so nice, too. I'd never played in an ocean before, had you? It probably would've been better if I knew how to swim, but even getting my feet wet was fun.
no subject
You've never been to the ocean before? [ to be honest, Madoka might look just a tiny bit surprised. but that's only because
all animeseveryone loves a vacation to the beach! ] Yeah, I've been a few times with my family and my friends. It's really the best part about summer![ another sigh, but this one much more fondly. ] I wish we could have had watermelon and shaved ice, those really help make a beach vacation all the better.
