( closed to the kidnapped ) The Princess Peach Collective
Date & Time: August 31st - September 18th
Location: United Earth Holding Compound
Characters: Any and all characters kidnapped during the interim.
Summary: So you were walking around, minding your own business... and then you were in the UE. Welcome, friends! Please enjoy your stay. Try the coffee! It's fantastic! Better avoid the bread pudding, though... (Official Kidnappee Handbook is here!)
Warnings: Kidnapping/Normal gambit of medical tests/shots/reflex tests/bloodwork/etc. Please notify the mods if anything gets into explicit or upsetting territory.
Notes: Player created United Earth NPCs welcome to guest star. If you have questions regarding these, please ask the moderators. Remember, this is not a torture chamber. This is a scientific facility with military aptitude, and seeks to contain, not injure, its projects. (You are a project!)
Please start your threads with a date or timeframe in the subject line to indicate who may tag in, depending on their arrival!
Welcome to the United Earth Holding Compound. There may be an official name, but the workers never say: they all have their own names for it, and "home" is never one of them. Still, as you're left to wander the halls connecting your individual containment areas to the cafeteria of spartan design, and many automated food producers (along with an endless supply of green jello and fruit), you may begin to wonder what exactly this place is. Why would the United Earth have a sense of design?
(Because of scientists, someone might whisper, though you'll never figure out who.)
Mystery unanswered, it'll be apparent they do. Even the lounge area you have access to looks out upon an expanse of green -- one that you are allowed into, if the surrounding U of military buildings, with much less architectural flair, will steadily drive you back out if you're seen near them.
Make no mistake: your accommodations are minimal at best, laughably slapped together at the last minute at worst. Your showering and bathroom facilities are uni-sex, so the more modest amongst you may wish to figure out a schedule for guys and gals. Towels, sheets, and plenty of nice hospital gowns will be on offer; characters so interested may attempt to find the laundry facilities.
All the labs are state of the art, and the computers and such used by the United Earth far beyond what the Initiative has ever provided. The biggest downside for the Transports being held is the lack of ready entertainment. A few board games have been left in the common area, and a few decks of cards, but that's all.
Not even an e-book to read.
Have fun, Kidnapped Transports, and try not to play "spot all the security measures and all the air ducts" too too often, will you?

during her captivity she doesn't end up doing much of anything. in the gamesroom you may see her idly shuffling a deck of playing cards, dealing them in sets of seven. it's not really for any kind of purpose beyond a sort of comforting ritual, something she's used to doing. if asked about it, she'll probably just smile sadly.
the cafeteria has proven to be an exercise in futility, the meal dispensers an esoteric mystery even to someone who can read what the directions. she's eaten the fruit and jello and that's about it, but it's hardly satisfying.
the ordeal in its entirety leaves her feeling old and tired and useless. she has no idea what to do with herself in this situation, just to hope that it will end soon, maybe even end favorably. but she doesn't know that it will, she feels like she doesn't know much of anything at all right now. ]
sep 17th!
He takes a seat across from her with his tray of processed food, for once not squirreling it away into his room immediately after receiving it. If he'd had anything to say, though, it's gone from his mind. So he sits silently, eyes on his food, wondering if it's rude not to announce himself. Probably it is. Ah, well. ]

nothing about him seems familiar, from the sound of his breathing to what she can tell of his scent, but few of them are likely to smell as they normally do anyway. eventually, she comes to the conclusion that he is probably no one she knows, and he is probably not going to start talking first.
very well, so it's left to her. she sets her spoon down and folds her hands on the table's surface. that she looks up at him is mostly for his own comfort. ]
Hello.
no subject
You were eating jello the last time I saw you here, as well. [ is it really that good?? ]

[ she casts what could be a glance in the direction of where the counter is, but it's a little off. ] There don't seem to be very many other options here.

Now that he's here again, he wishes he had just come sooner. From the moment pf Kaworu's recapture, he had resigned himself to it. At least if he were here earlier, he could help soothe those who'd been kidnapped earlier. Those people like Physis.
He recognizes her very early. The sight of her in this place makes his heart sink - for her sake, and for Blue's. With her powers gone, she must be having a horrible time.
Well, if he intends to help his comrades who are here, she would be a good start.]
Miss Physis...
[what is she doing with those cards? he prays he isn't interrupting anything, although he feels pretty confident she wouldn't mind if he was.]
no subject
Kaworu! I hoped you wouldn't end up here again.
no subject
If I knew this would happen, I would have resigned myself to it.
Are you alright? [He can't look at her and not be reminded of Blue, devastated and speechless.] When did you arrive?
no subject
[ she only seems more agitated at the question, now that she thinks about it. she didn't have any reason to before, no one to be upset over other than herself and what she might have done. ]
I...I've had trouble keeping track. It may have been a week by now.
i'm pretty sure blue isn't getting kidnapped but i can redo tag if i'm wrong
he's gonna be in on the rescue, i think!

She comes upon Physis in the cafeteria on her first day, having spent some time puzzling out the dispensers and settling for some perplexing mush that came out of it. When she sees Physis, Eilonwy is bright with recognition. ]
Oh, it's you! I mean, how terrible it is to meet you here.
no subject
Quite a dramatic change from the last place we met. Eilonwy, wasn't it?
no subject
I must say I have found the places they've sent us quite disagreeable. Even if the company is not all bad.

It's more fulfilling to see if he can coax down others' anxiety, even if it's only for a moment.
It's with this in the back of his mind that he notices Physis seated at her own table. He feels like he's seen her in the cafeteria before, eating only fruit and jello then, too. (Memorable, perhaps, because she reminds him ever-so-slightly of Mary, based purely on appearances.) It's with a small, polite (sheepish) smile that he sets his tray down across from her.]
I'm not interrupting, am I?
no subject
I don't really have anything to interrupt, no.
no subject
He has a seat obligingly, though he isn't overly eager to actually tuck into any of the food.]
I realized I'd gone through most of the day without really talking with anyone. [More than pleasantries, anyway.] I thought I might try to fix that.
no subject
at his remark, she turns her head to the side, resting a hand under her chin. it's been much longer than that for her. ] It can be very easy to lose track of time because of it. I really only know what time it is now because I'm told, and the guards have no reason to be honest with us.
You don't even realize how isolated you've been until it's pointed out.

13th or 14th?
This is every psi's idea of hell, isn't it. [Nate is not good at jokes. Call it a genetic flaw]
14th sounds good!
Nathan? I would say it's probably very close to it, and perhaps worse still to some of us.
[ ooc: just now realizing i have no idea the current status of that t-o virus after second coming because wow that'd be a mess. ]
Re: 14th sounds good!
Yeah - I've had my powers stripped entirely before, so I know how to manage, but...
[OOC: Hope phoenix-nuked the virus at the end of the X-Sanction limited! So he just has the after effects of having what made up his entire right eye and a good portion of his left arm and the skeletal structure on that side of his body gone]

I suppose I tended to depend on my own a little more than others. Perhaps I should take this as the opportunity to learn a lesson.

There's still much of the day ahead, I'm sure I will have plenty of opportunities to eat more.

[She's not hearing "No", but she's also not hearing affirmation she's needed. If the older woman is trying to underline her independence, maybe Kanaya should reframe the situation so she's the unusual one for being able to provide that help...?]
I've been spending a lot of time memorizing the outputs since everybody's been so confused by them.
