[Jesse might be the only one who finds Exsilium's current state beautiful rather than desolate and depressing. For more reasons than one, if given the choice between here and home, he'd choose here without hesitation. The snow and the chill do nothing to deter him from taking long walks. For as long as he can physically stand it, he prefers the cold over being confined inside four walls.
So he walks. Every day, without any particular destination, without anything else to occupy him. The concerns of the Initiative and the Transports are no longer his own. Whatever they're up to, they mean little to him. He's still got enough stolen Russian gold to pay for whatever he needs without having to work, so that's how he's choosing to live for as long as he's able. His time is spent doing whatever he wants to do, and at the moment, what he wants to do is wander.
Freedom: that's what this is about. No one is ever going to make him do anything ever again.]

But still, some part of her is tense and prepared, fully aware of the fact that the dangers here do not only lie in what this Earth provides; there is still the matter of the Transports. And some of them ... some of them are dangerous.
When she hears Jesse's footsteps behind her, she turns, hand automatically moving to draw an arrow, but she pauses when she sees him. He's harmless, or at least as harmless as she can guess. Her hand lowers and she loosens her grip on her bow.]
Well, at least you're not a yeti.
no subject
Totally - Totally not a yeti.

I think I know you.
no subject
Um... Jesse Pinkman.
[The one and only. Probably a lot shorter and skinnier than his gravelly voice and rough cadence would suggest. A little guy for such a feared supervillain.]

She waves a hand to herself and gives a half bow, though it's definitely one meant in jest rather than one done because she makes a habit of such things. She's grinning as she bends back up.] Kate Bishop. What are the odds?
no subject
One in three hundred, I think.

[Is it wrong to flirt with her? It's probably wrong to flirt with her.]

[He's shameless.]

What about you? Heading someplace?

[He glances at that bow again, then looks off to their surroundings.]
It's different here. From how it used to be. More peaceful, I guess. I can't even picture an invasion. Bombs falling.
Maybe it's just all the snow. The quiet.

[He scratches the back of his head.]
Uh, not that I'm a pussy or nothing.

[Not everyone's a superhero, anyway, so the last thing she'll do is judge. Kate bends down to grab her bow to turn and start walking, using a hand to motion that he come along. Mostly, she didn't want to leave her bow sitting there for too long.]
no subject
[Jesse shuffles along after her, burying his hands deep in his pockets to keep them warm now that she's not holding him at arrowpoint or anything.]
no subject
[Even chatting, she seems to be aware of their surroundings. That seems important.]

You know anytime you see somebody do something and you think, "Wow, that's the stupidest thing he coulda possibly done"? That's me. I'm that guy. I got trouble keeping quiet and doing what I'm told. I don't let anything slide. I get my ass kicked for it every time, but somebody's gotta say something. Can't just ignore shit and take the easy way out.
no subject
She has her moments, basically.]
It's about tempering that. Doing it at the right time. But everyone needs that someone.
no subject
Tempering. Yeah, that's where the real problem is with me.
no subject
Are you usually doing this alone?
