so raise your glass now, lets celebrate exactly what you've done; (CLOSED)
Date & Time: November 14th (hella backdated, man)
Location: Painwheel's sweet new place
Characters:
Jaina Proudmoore &
Painwheel
Summary: Jaina's concern for one of the roommates for Arthas prompts her into building a sanctuary for the girl away from him.
Warnings: N/A
[ It's not much, but it's a suitable living quarters. What Jaina thinks is livable may not necessarily be the same for others. With this land in disarray, it wasn't difficult to acquire various objects, clean them up, and do a bit of trading in the markets for the things she needed. They'll do for now. What else can be found were taken from her own unit and a couple of others thanks to volunteers (Jaina's good at talking people out of their stuff).
... There's a lot of purple though. Personal bias shining through.
That and she's never really had to decorate before. Her own room was one thing, but when it came to creating something that was presentable to someone else entirely? Purple and gold were the colors of the Kirin Tor, so it felt proper to use a lot of them here. That stuff can always be changed later on.
With her netbook in her lap, she'll send another message to Painwheel to inform her the basics of the area and that she would wait to ensure she made it there safely. No harm in any of that, right? ]

When she gets the message, she makes her way over to the place.
That, that's it, right? That's where she was gonna live. It's not that she expected more, it's more the fact that it only now really hit Painwheel.
Should she knock on the door? She's not really sure, considering how she's technically outside and maybe it wasn't really her place just yet.
Out of sheer courtesy, Painwheel ends up knocking.]

There you are. [ ... what a greeting. Jaina's a nice lady, but she really lacks at social skills sometimes. Holding open the door, she insists on ushering her towards the inside. ] Come on, before it gets any colder.

[In she goes and.. Oh. Oh wow. It's hard to tell with her mask but... Painwheel is definitely amazed.]
You got all this set up?
[but more importantly.]
And it's all for me?

[ Because what good is a gift if she has to worry about being in debt? Jaina's not the type to collect on her kindnesses, no, she just worries about what life with the infamous "Lich King" would be like. A part of her remains envious that this lady may have seen a side of him that Jaina's yet to see, but the sincerity of her actions stem from good thoughts.
And not the thoughts of drawing information about the man from her. For her, she feels keeping her safe and away from Arthas will do more good. She couldn't live with herself if she asked her to remain in a dangerous environment. ]
If there is anything additional you need aid with, you should not hesitate to ask. [ Just in case there's something Jaina's forgotten. ] The people here are willing to help.
no subject
Yeah, maybe. But I think you've got them all beat, as far as being helpful goes.
no subject
Nonsense, so many of them are here to help. I only do what I can to make others feel comfortable and welcomed in their home away from home.
no subject
Back where you're from. Were you always helping others around like this?
[She has a strong inclination that the answer is a resounding yes.]

[ Instead she feels guilty for doing what little she's done. ] I stranded myself and a great number of the Alliance on a continent heavily armed by our "enemies", but I never thought of them as such. Just those who needed to secure their homeland and could not bring themselves to trust us. By that point in Azeroth's history, humanity already left a poor impression on the orcs.

Did you, uh, try to make things better. Maybe they couldn't trust you right away but... how about little by little?
