Really? Me too, my nap went way too long.

[ She sits back with her tea and crosses her legs. She can feel herself waking up a little bit as he talks about his potential plans. ]

Where in the city were you thinking of checking out?

[firstroar]

[his mouth quirks with a faint smile before drawing the drink up for a tentative sip. already awake, he still can't avoid picking up and resonating with the energy she brings just in simple conversation.]

I have yet to choose. [looking back at her.] What would you advise?

[chittybang]

Well, I'm not exactly sure. I've wanted to walk out of here, take a right or a left, and see where it takes me, but I haven't gotten the chance yet.

[ Careful not to spill hot tea on her lap, she crosses up her legs and adjusts her hips to face him. ]

[firstroar]

[his head tilts a little, almost simultaneous with her turn, pondering a moment.]

You're welcome to join me, if you wish. Though it is late, isn't it...

[chittybang]

No, I'd like that! I mean, I'm going to be up for a while, anyways.

[ She hides some of her enthusiasm with a sip of her tea, but it's still quite apparent that she's really into the idea. ]

[firstroar]

Then... [lifting the mug slightly in a bit of a salute.] We'll see what we can find, yes? It will be a different sight from the ground.

[chittybang]

Yeah, certainly! I'll go get ready real quick.

[ She takes a long sip of her tea and sets it down on a coaster before taking eager steps back into her room.

Might want to get comfortable, Blue. ]

[he's got no qualms about that. rather, he's content to let her bustle off, her much-more-awake clips of thoughts mood an interesting bit of color (as it were) to his wait. such things are infectious to degrees, and he can't help but entertain the notion of flight again – she was daring enough to suit that, wasn't she?

but small steps first, perhaps. he was going to have a walk with a human – something fairly impossible where he was from.

it keeps the small smile playing on his lips as he finishes most of the drink, going about picking up after the both of them as she finishes up.]

[ Indeed, it takes about half an hour for Asami to find an outfit she's okay with wearing, to reapply makeup, to fix up her hair, and to properly accessorize. Normally she takes longer, but the better part of her is considerate of Blue's time and energy.

Looking considerably put together when she exits, she makes a beeline for her purse hanging on a door, throws her netbook inside, and checks for her key to get back in. A glance passes to where she left the tea, only to find it gone, and she thanks Blue under a hurried breath.

This is nice, the spontaneity. Keeping busy is essential to maintaining her sanity in Exsilium. Here she thought she'd be stuck with her thoughts all night. It would be even better if they could go for a drive, if she could feel the wind in her hair and the control over such an ingenious contraption. They'd be able to go farther faster. Thoughts would be clearer. ]

All right, I'm sorry about that. Are you ready to go?

[firstroar]

[his head shakes while he wears a small smile, dismissing the apology. it's probably strange, but...it's incredibly fascinating, sensing the buzzing and process she's gone through to get ready. it's incredibly mundane and...comfortingly similar to the way some of his fellow Mu behaved, even in hiding. humans weren't so different. comforting and sad.

but that aside,] I am. [he meets her at the door, advancing ahead to open it and stand as doorstopper for her to pass through.]

[chittybang]

[ Asami passes through the door and walks with very much goal-oriented footsteps down the hallway, and again down the stairs. Her voice echoes in the stairwell among hasty footsteps. ]

So, I'm thinking we should take a right out of the building and see where the path takes us. You know what, we should do something fun while we're out, that way when we come back from our walk we'll feel like we've found something. Long drives actually used to be really good for that. What do you like to do, anyway?

[firstroar]

[he falls into step at her side once that aforementioned right turn is made at last, the both of them free of the building after a brief trek downstairs. it was enough of a distraction, perhaps, to delay his response to the question posed at the end of it all.]

Well... [his voice sounds much different, hers having echoed off concrete and metal within, his swallowed up into the open air.]

That's something I'm trying to learn here. This is a different life than the one I led before, with opportunities I didn't have. Simply walking down a street when I wish... [liable to get a guy like Blue shot back in his world.]

[ Asami flashes him a sympathetic look, but she knows looking at someone that way can be a little offensive on its own. A curl forms at a corner of her red lips. ]

I wish I'd known that earlier, or else I would've dragged you out before now. We'll find something ridiculous for you to do. Have you heard of karaoke?

[firstroar]

[he has to think a minute, whether the word's something he knows or not...]

It doesn't sound familiar. [but. wait. slightly squinting.] This is something ridiculous?

[chittybang]

Only the most ridiculous. Do you sing?

[firstroar]

[sing.......,]

No, I don't. Is that what it is? "Karaoke."

[chittybang]

I saw it happen in one of the restaurants around here. They give you a microphone, someone plays an instrument, and you just sing to it. You probably make up the words as you go.

Or if that's not your cup of tea, we can just... window shop? There have to be some crazy things to look at.

[firstroar]

[he makes a faint kind of sound at her explanation, but remains silent for the alternative offer. without considering the hour, Blue's much more inclined to the observing rather than singing.]

I cannot say whether we will find much of interest, but... [doing a quick glance about.] I have not been this way before. We may spot something.

[chittybang]

Right. Well, at this time of night, you sort of find things you wouldn't otherwise see in the daytime. The windows should be dimly lit, so you can see more inside.

[ That's her reasoning back home, anyway. The nature of the shops in Exsilium are still unfamiliar, and with as little money that she has, she has to steer herself away from looking too much. ]

[the timing is almost perfect, but it does take a couple steps to meet the dingy shop window.

[ Asami glances in the direction of his gesture and nods her head a little. ]

Yup, just like that. Although that's a gorgeous blouse.

[ She briefly peers inside. ]

It's hard to believe everything here is handmade. Back home it's so industrial.

You have no human hands behind your industry anymore? [eyebrows lifted.]

Well, we do, in a way. Someone has to work the factories, right? But a lot of things are mass produced now, like clothes and toys. Cars.
