Date & Time: ... Any time between the masquerade and shortly after her video post!
Location: Around Unit #1004 + proooobably venturing out into the city.
Characters: Lightning + FFXIII people + ANYONE ELSE WHO'D LIKE TO BOTHER HER.
Summary: Someone here is from significantly later than her friends and acting rather strangely; to nobody's surprise, said friends have questions for her! ... She also probably needs to locate a new skirt or two that isn't made out of giant feathers and... meet some people.
Warnings: Maybe some FFXIII-2 spoilers in threads. Other than that, serious frowning going on!! In other words, nothing for now.
When Lightning had first appeared here, she'd been... confused, to say the least. Meeting up with three of her friends - at a masquerade, no less - hadn't exactly helped, and after thoroughly confusing them too--
She wasn't sure when the last time she had slept was, but not long after escaping the party and for the first time in a long stretch of memories, she could feel now that Valhalla's capacity to make her immune to basic human necessities had fallen apart with her arrival here. She was tired. With her armor so out of place, now hardly anything more than a painful reminder (and an enigma when it came to how she was going to manage getting it off), she was quickly learning that her time here was going to be a study in how to be normal again. Even when it came to those she'd gotten to know back in Cocoon and on Gran Pulse, fought alongside with for the sake of their world, connecting with people promised to be... rather difficult.
In any case, it wasn't until some time after that first contact that she was ready to talk to her friends again, and until after she'd gathered the nerve to ask about her sister that she could be found in general, wandering the area exploratorily...
[ Post is in prose, but action tags are cool too! Feel free to run into her any time- way back when she was still in her funky armor, or once she's wandering about the hold in borrowed or newly-bought duds. LET'S ROCK. ]

As she stepped into the common room of her apartment, she finally met one of her roommates, just sitting against a couch. Three things would immediately jump out to Lightning, in one or another order.
There was the little table in front of her, which was covered in cards. Some kind of solitaire game, perhaps? But the card designs certainly didn't resemble anything she knew.
There was also her hat. Which looked like it was shaped to cover some kind of horns or wings or something... But they were loose, so it just kinda looked odd.
Then, there was the rest of her outfit, blatantly designed to display a figure whose beauty was borderline unnatural.
She then looked up towards Lightning. "Oh, hello!"

Not that she was too concerned with seeking them out as soon as possible, of course. She had plenty of things on her mind, and given the general flow of how things were going lately, she also had a strong suspicion that any encounters were bound to trigger her desire to get out of this place.
The look on the woman's face when she discovered Pidonus wasn't exactly surprise... and needless to say, it betrayed a full two seconds before she had the chance to speak that a cheerful greeting probably wasn't forthcoming. She lingered in the doorway, looking down her nose slightly as her hand gripped the knob.
"Do you live here?"

She looked towards Lightning. "You're one of the roomates, then? ... Funny that it's taken so long for us to run into each other?"

Sometimes.
She was tempted to go right back out of the room, but after a moment, Lightning still made herself behave in the face of her growing frustration. Slowly stepping out of the door's way, she remained... though it was clear enough that the likelihood that she intended to extend this impromptu conversation more than absolutely necessary was rather low.
"I guess." Not that surprising; it wasn't that she was avoiding contact, but... still. After a moment: "I'm Lightning."
Sorry for the delay!

still, it was nice too. just being able to roam around freely without having to worry about gunfire or a giant turtle creature stepping on you. even lost in his thoughts though, it's hard to miss that familiar flash of pink hair even though the clothes are once again not what he was used to seeing.
nevertheless, he hurries over with a small smile in greeting. )
Light!

Hope.
[ Obligatorily, she glances him over as if she's looking for open wounds. Nothing new. ]

The clothes here are a lot different than what we have on Cocoon, huh? And how are you doing though with well... everything?
no subject
Well enough.
[ Neutral. At least then it's not quite a lie, right? ]

That's good, this place sure can be weird but I guess it's nice they at least take care of us in a way.
( ... not always being a good thing, of course. Cocoon took care of them too and look what ended up happening. )

[ Yeah, she is just... not even gonna give anything short of a totally noncommittal response to that, either. Instead a hand goes to her hip and she just focuses on him again, gaze narrowing slightly in thought. After a moment- ]
Maybe, you could show me around.

( they could both learn something new about this place, he figures. )
Come on, there's bound to be something worth seeing.

Dryly: ]
Aside from rain, that is...
[ Whatever, they're going anyway. She has a... very powerful urge to get a look around. ]
