Mass Logs [Closed to the following in the cuts]
Date & Time:Jan 7. Jan 9, Jan 10, Jan 11
Location: (in order) The City Black Market District, Hold Training area, Lee's Workshop, Lee's Workshop
Characters: Collette, Margulis, Ghost, Billy Cranston, Taicea and Lee
Summary: All this week Lee has been booked pretty solid with people he's either just met, or people that are curious about his work. One of them is a date. Threads will be separated for organization.
Warnings: It's a semi-open log, but if any of the threads start to go in a direction that needs some privacy, they may be moved to a musebox for comfort.
Jan 7 Monday (Market Place)
Lee had agreed to meet Collette at the appointed time even though he didn't know her name. His geosynchronous watch was never wrong. 4:05 exactly on the dot, he waited patiently for her to arrive. She had his picture, and he had nothing to go on other than he knew that she was a Transport and nothing more. Blind dates were exciting but at the same time the possibility of being stood up were much higher. Even if nothing came of it, it didn't matter. He would still buy the chocolate.
Jan 9 Wednesday (Hold Training Center)
Lee was in a funk from his break-up with Leliana and his date with Collette left him with mixed feelings if it would work at all. His flirtatious banter with Blaine and a few others left him wondering if he was ever going to find happiness on a personal level in this place. The scientist-spy started in on his stretches that were a lot more advanced that resembled more a gymnast than a martial artist. It was something he's done many times throughout his life. Tumbles, flips and passes on the mat helped him keep his focus. He stood at the corner of the training mat and took in a deep breath before he made another pass. Little did he know that Margulis had been watching him. The two still awaited for their orders on their mission and both men were feeling antsy.
Jan 10 Thursday (Lee's Workshop)
With the discovery of Ghost's helmet being smashed and his cannon almost complete for a formal test, which still needed a lot of work, he couldn't let his friend be without the one thing that she needed most in this place. Lee had his own purpose but the way he chose to remain hidden was just the opposite. He knew how to obfuscate. If he didn't want something discovered, he wouldn't mention it nor tell anyone about it. The cannon was now out. He made a promise and he was going to keep it.
Jan 11 Friday (Lee's Workshop)
Taicea wanted to see the cannon, Billy was going to help him refine it. The vortex cannon was being tooled and scrutinized by now two very keen minds with the third being curious with her eagerness to learn everything she can. It was a good day for Lee. Not to mention, the serum he made for Billy was going into the right hands in case he has a relapse. That was a secret he never wanted revealed. Plans were laid out along with notes, mathematical formulas, and several pages of miss trials that he kept tight watch over. Lee knew that it would take more than just himself to make it work into perfection. With the fabricated tool in his hand, he tightened up the bolts that held the gas lines in place while he waited for his guests to arrive.

Once on his feet, he straightened himself and smirked. "Yes, yes, you made your point." He looked to their clasped hands and grinned. "I don't know what happened, to be honest."
no subject
"Oh? And here I had assumed that the fact that you made a public fool of yourself was obvious."
The insult was a deliberate attempt to get under Lee's skin, to prod his ego so that he got riled up over something harmless. If he was huffing over a minor blow to his pride, then odds were he wasn't thinking about whatever had him in such a sour mood lately. And aside from that, maybe what he really needed was just a chance to blow off some steam.
no subject
"Ah, but the thing about fools are there are usually more than one in their company. That makes you one as well." Lee moved it his fighting stance with a grin.
"C'mon." He waved his finger at him in a beckoning gesture.
no subject
Skilled or not, he doubted Lee could keep up with his enhanced speed and strength. As much as he enjoyed having them back after months with them forcibly disabled, this fight would be no fun with them active. A quick thought disabled the Ethers that boosted his abilities to superhuman levels, but the kick he aimed for Lee's side was still fast for a man his size.
no subject
His torso twisted to thrust his elbow toward his roommate's head. "You certainly had your coffee this morning." He smirked at realization that this wasn't going to be some boring sparring match.
no subject
"I may not be the youngest fighter here, but I'm still not some decrepit old man."
no subject
"Ha! Just how old do you think I am?" Lee loved this part. It wasn't the first time age was brought up and each time, save for a few, they staggered. He was one of the oldest humans in this place and part of the fun was watching their expressions.
Age meant nothing without the experience to back the claims.
no subject
"Old enough to have had time to get to know what you're doing, I'll give you that much. But it looks as if you still fall short of being a complete match for me."
no subject
He pulled the blade from its scabbard and brought it up into a fencer's salute with his heels together. The moment that blade came down, he changed shape to become a stronger blade but just as light.
"We're just getting warmed up, darling." He winked in a taught with a smirk.
no subject
He made the first move, stepping forward with a turn to slash under Lee's sword arm in a move meant to quickly disable the limb.
no subject
His unarmed hand was behind his back, the blade of his sword was pointed down in a upper block over his shoulder. "Ooh, was that a come on? It's nice to see this side of you, Margulis. I was beginning to wonder you had lost your drive." He said as he blew a kiss.
no subject
He quickly reversed his blade's motion to swing into his opponent's blade, trying to break his guard or force him back as he turned again to face him.
"Are you certain you didn't hit your head when you fell?"
no subject
"Oh, quite certain. I can see it in your eyes. That lust is the same in battle and in bed. I should know." He smirked since he's seen it on both sides on and off the mat.
"You want to thrust that blade into me. I know you do." He grinned with that same coy playfulness he had since his arrival.
no subject
But the way his hands shifted on the hilt of his sword as he tried to break through Lee's guard seemed awkward and uncomfortable. Something Lee had said had hit close to home in a way Margulis was trying to deny and it showed in a general tensing of his entire body.
no subject
"At least you're not shaking. I would worry about that." He smirked. "Still, am I really that far off base?" He was familiar with denial just as anyone else. "Relax and let it flow." He bounced on his toes.
no subject
He slashed upward at Lee, hoping to either get in under his guard or shake his grip on his weapon by using a different angle from what he had before.
no subject
"Oh ho, so it's true then." Lee caught his balance once again and shifted his body into a long and deep back stance, his blade held high above his head in a traditional Chinese Phoenix stance. "Come and get me."
no subject
"I only acknowledged one of your claims as anything but ridiculous."
no subject
"That's a start. I was beginning to think I was boring you." Lee purred.
no subject
Lee wouldn't have time to do anything more than get his blade into position before Margulis was coming at him with another slash. The man's defense was good, there was no denying that, but Margulis didn't plan on giving him any room to slip up.
no subject
"I like a man of action. It keeps me guessing." Even through Lee's playfulness, he had to turn the tables and fast.
He swiped the blade across his body to roll over to his side before he could get back to his feet again in a backward roll. "A very good offense, to be sure, so I suppose we should put up a wager. If you win, I have to do whatever you ask for a week. If I win, I get to kiss you."
no subject
"What in the world makes you think I would be interested in such absurd terms?"
He might have asked why Lee was even suggesting them in the first place, but he wasn't sure he wanted to know.
no subject
Shock replaced by a smirk, Lee wasn't afraid of getting hurt. "Forget it. You owe me a new shirt." He came back into the fray with a forward flip, a swing and a twist accompanied by a smirk. It was his turn now to take the offense.
