[Open]
Date & Time: March 31st ; very early in the morning
Location: Rooftop of the Housing Building
Characters: Nepeta Leijon (
moirailcompass) and OPEN
Summary: After some morning exercise, Nepeta is enjoying the view from the roof after a morning run.
Warnings: Don't expect there to be any. Will update if needed.
Feel free to switch to action if you wish.
Way back when she first arrived in Balamb, it had taken Nepeta a long time to get use to what she called a 'human sleeping schedule'. Trolls were nocturnal creatures that operated during the night, and slept during the day. That was so long ago, so she had to wonder why now of all times she was wondering about it. Perhaps it was because this was the first time in a while she had actually watched the sun as it rose. Back in Balamb she did most of her morning runs inside. Here, she seemed to have more freedom in some ways, and less in others.
She supposed she could complain about it, but for now she just wanted to enjoy what she had. A nice view from the rooftop of her new home, a thermos full of tea, and that wonderful feeling of a runner's high. Not to mention that at any point she could visit her moirail. While things had certainly become tense, and she knew that they would probably only become more so she was just so happy to be reunited with him that it was all worth it. Life at Balamb had continued as always, and she had become super invested in her work but it was always a fight to keep her more unpleasant thoughts at bay each and every single day. Even if she wasn't in his presence, just knowing that he was only a couple doors away fill her with a sense of calm and happiness that only a moirail could bring.
There were things to be done, questions to be asked, but for now she was having this small respite to just enjoy herself.

[Action because I'm lame]
But really, Rai's track record for authority had never been very good. At least he could let off some steam by training. It wouldn't do anyone any good if he decided to slack off now. Not when the chance to scrap was on the horizon with this mission. Boy did he want to scrap.]
[At least the roof was a good place to start and he could get his morning routine going. He didn't expect to find anyone else up there though, so he paused when he recognized his roomate.]
Morning.
that's ok i still lu
Hey. [As far as first impressions went, Rai had given her a pretty good one. Not that it was particularly hard to get on Nepeta's good side. In fact most people sort of defaulted there until they gave her a reason not to like them---and even then that was pretty hard considering what she was use to.]
Care fur some tea? [She held the thermos up, swinging it tantalizingly]
;A;
Dude. Yes. [Rai sidled up over next to her, expression expectant.]
>3<
Carefurl, it's still hot. [She held it out for him to take.] So what brings you up here?

Thought maybe I'd get some training in up here. Its pretty quiet and all. Plenty of space.

What do you train in?

Butt-kicking, what else? [He grinned.] But I guess officially I should say something like Xiaolin martial arts blah blah blah and also I have wind powers.

[Granted giving it a shot seemed like a pretty good idea now that he was on the roof. Plenty of space to kick up a whirlwind and all.]

I'd hang onto something if I were you.

That would suck.]

[Anyway, he gave himself a minute to focus. Breathe in, breath out. He put his hands in front of him and suddenly the wind kicked up into a strong gust around them.

She turned her gaze back to Rai with a little bit of envy.]

[Rai lifted himself off the ground now that the wind was strong enough and launched himself into the sky like a rocket, causing the wind around them to gust particularly hard while he got the momentum under him to go airborn. He didn't go far, though, and circled around back to the roof.]
[He'd discussed before with someone else here how awesome flying was but there really weren't words to put to the sort of feeling sailing through the air felt.]

She gave him a wave from her spot down below, letting go of her grip on the railing now that there wasn't a danger of her being blown off. It really did work similar to John's power--and Tavros' though she had never actually seen him use it. A lot of them had never really tapped into the powers given to them by the game--herself included.
Then again she had no idea what the hell 'heart' powers were suppose to do. Much like Karkat, she always felt her title was a joke at her expense.]

Everything seems to be working fine! [He folded his hands behind his head and grinned.]

The tall figure with horns longer than any troll Nepeta may have ever encountered and hair longer than the figure's body and horns combined, along with her gratuitous jewelry made her stick out like the most sore of thumbs. She appeared to be walking along the ground surrounding the building and to the untrained observer she appeared to be doing nothing but.
However, Nepeta was far from an untrained observer, right? Far be it to suggest what she would see, but one would hope the girl saw the individual for what she was: a most dangerous predator, perhaps the most dangerous one could ever encounter. Definitely in the top five, anyway.
Her Imperious Condescension did not appear to notice the troll atop the building.
What will you do, Nepeta?

Nepeta gave a small jerk of her head and pulled away, heading back towards the rooftop entrance. What was she going to do? Well get out of here and head back to her dorm, of course. She wasn't going to be sticking around, and she hoped she hadn't been spotted. That would have put all of Equius' efforts to waste.
