[open] You're lost, little girl
Date & Time: January 19th-31st
Location: The housing complex, the Hold, some random alleyways, etc.
Characters: kid!Sheryl Nome and YOU
Summary: A little girl wanders around Exsilium and gets lost a lot. Spoilers: she turns into a pop star ten years later.
Warnings: SO MUCH SAD
OPTION A: January 19th, right outside the Hold and alleyways
[Sheryl Nome is no stranger to murky skies and dark buildings towering over her like creepy monsters from nightmares; in fact, she can describe what they look like even as she closes her eyes. Lifeless, dull, dreary, unsettling. This place may not be Galaxy, but the similarities are too apparent that she might as well be at the slums by now. Heck, it even rains just like back home. To a seven-year-old girl who lived through that, it's jarring.
Clutching a newspaper over her head, she toddles around, eyes shifting from one side to the next as she appears frightened, her jaw tightly clenched. Despite how hard she's shivering and how unhealthily skinny she looked, she keeps walking across the sidewalk, trying her best to fight back tears. Dark smudges are all over her cheeks and legs, and her dress looks ragged from constant wear. Under close inspection, bruises can be seen on her knees. As for her hair, it's no longer a vibrant shade of pink — like she's been trapped in ash.
To anyone who once met her as a teenage idol singer with a confident stride, they may be able to spot similarities in appearances, mainly from the face and hairstyle. Don't mind her as she eventually bumps into someone without looking, causing her to fall on her back and yelp out loud. Shielding herself with both arms, she squirms to back away.]
Ah! I-I'm sorry...! Please don't hurt me!
OPTION B: January 20th-beyond, inside the apartment and the Hold
[After finally becoming accustomed to indoors, little Sheryl takes her time to explore her surroundings. Eyes widened, she winds up sneaking inside various rooms unsupervised, curiosity getting the best of her. As she continues with the tour, she keeps her hand pressed against her stomach, looking worried that she may not find some food on time. She doesn't have any money on hand, and she feels bad asking the people she'd already met for snacks. Additionally, she's still painfully shy around other Transports in general, fearing that she'll stumble upon a dangerous kind.
This girl may be little, but she thinks she can fend for herself for a while. No big deal, right?
Sheryl can also be seen at the training room/makeshift daycare center either A) painting some pictures, B) playing with a huge teddy bear, or C) making a mess. Bother/play with her?]
OPTION C: January 21st-beyond, wherever
[Feel free to make up any scenario! She could be wherever your character is located.]
(OOC: Action or prose is fine by me!)

[This is a very upsetting thing, and he hiccups on the sob that wants to come out. He's a very sheltered boy, and just wants to find his family and curl up loved and safe and warm. After a moment he decides sitting down is a good idea too. His feet are bare, but he doesn't seem to mind the wet much.]
Nothing's right here. It all smells wrong.
no subject
I'm sorry...
[Distracted by the hiccups coming from him, she clenches one hand into a fist and presses it against her heart, feeling the urge to cry. She can't do it, though, or else it'd discourage him, even if she's sniffing.]
Um, I can help you find them! [A beat.] Your mom and dad — i-if you want.
no subject
And then she makes that offer, and he brightens, even if part of him is worried they won't be able to.]
Yeah! 'cause everything will be better together. And then we can help you find your family too!
no subject
[Even if the possibility is slim, she looks briefly pumped up for a moment at the prospect of finding Issac's mother and father. Not only is she not alone, but she can make someone smile, therefore lifting her own spirits in return, too.
At least until her own family is mentioned, which promptly erases the happy expression on Sheryl's face, and she now looks downcast, her hands clutching her dress.]
Mm... they're not here anymore.

Oh. Oh... He hiccups again, because that's the very worst thing, and she's his age and shouldn't be away from her family and and--
So Isaac gets on his knees in front of her and reaches out to cover her hands with his--his hands are blazing warm, even in the cold rain.]
When we find Mom and Dad, you can be my sister. It won't be like your own family, but you won't be alone anymore.
[He is very serious about this proclamation.]

R-Really...?
[Sheryl's voice sounds like it's about to crack, the familiar stinging in her eyes revealing itself once more as well. She never had siblings before as she's an only child, but to finally have one — a semblance of family just so she won't be alone, even if it's not the same... it's surprising.
Issac's last words repeat in her mind, to the point where she begins to sniff again, shutting her eyes tightly.]
I don't know what to say! B-But...
[She hiccups, chewing on her bottom lip to prevent herself from crying.]
Thank you!
no subject
[Still very serious, but he squeezes her hands and smiles. Having a new sister will be great, and if they're together, nobody will go after them, right?]
Family is the most important.
[And when she starts to sniffle he decides that to be a good brother he'll give her a hug. That will make her feel better, right? His hug might be a little enthusiastic, but he's warm.]
Now that we're family I won't let anybody take you away!
