Summary: Cagalli is dragging Athrun and Lacus to see the older Kira.

By the time Cagalli, Lacus and Athrun would arrive, Kira would have already taken apart his tablet and had parts of it scattered on the floor. He wasn't completely worried. He had confidence in his ability to put it back together. He hasn't really discovered much yet, much to his annoyance. Only that it functioned like a normal tablet. He even tried to look into the device's motherboard.

But, he wasn't convinced and he didn't want to let this go until he was 100% convinced that this thing wouldn't pose as a threat.

Torii was perched above his bed, quietly watching what his owner was doing. Without looking up from what he was doing, Kira reached out for the screwdriver. To make things easier for Kira, Torii flew down and pushed the screwdriver into Kira's hand.

"Thanks, Torii," he muttered, still not looking up.

The green mechanical bird, flapped its wings seemingly pleased. "Torii!" It cried before flying back to its perch and went back to observing him.

Kira suddenly paused and gave a serious frown. "Maybe I can find something useful in the memorycard ..."

Lacus had been in her room with Haro when Cagalli had come to get her, claiming they were going with Athrun to see Kira. It wasn't really a surprise, not when Lacus was not entirely sure if Kira had seen her and Athrun yet after he had gone to have a look around this new place. So she had nodded, Haro bouncing down from her desk into her hands as she stood and joined her friend, shutting the door behind her.

"I know he was going out to have a look around, but he might be back in his room now for us to find him there. But I did tell him I was sure you would want to see him once you knew he was here, Cagalli."

"Thanks, Lacus," the blonde replied, smiling a little. "I'm sure he'll be glad to see all of us. Let's go get Athrun first and make sure he doesn't get lost."

Despite her statement making little to no sense overall, Cagalli and Lacus head to Athrun's quarters a few apartments down the hall, where the princess knocks loudly on the front door. Little mind is paid to his roommates. Hopefully he answers or they aren't in at the moment.

"Athrun, come on! We're going to meet Kira!"

There's no muffled yelling, nor any other clue that the male being called out heard the yell as the only sound that could be heard is the sound of approaching footsteps, as well as the door opening to actually show Athrun looking like usual.

"...We are?"

...His brain's still waking up, though.

Kira had heard the noise from all the way in his room thanks to the heightened hearing of Coordinators. Worried that it might be an emergency, he ran outside to check it out ... only to find Lacus and his dear sister in front of Athrun's room. Cagalli was still knocking loudly and calling out for Athrun.

Haro saw Kira first and ran up to him. He picked the little robot up and gave it back to Lacus before turning to grin at Cagalli. Seeing his sister like this was a little nostalgic. The Cagalli he last saw different in a lot of ways.

"Of course where else would I find you but waking half the floor up?" Taking advantage of the height difference --- and age difference, Kira pats Cagalli on the head.

Lacus waits when Cagalli knocks on Athrun's door, distracted from greeting Athrun again when Haro bounces off toward Kira as he approaches the trio. She takes haro from him gratefully, giving a smile. "Cagalli was rather insistant we come see you once she found out you were here, Kira." she explains, unable to help a soft giggle at his teasing. It was a relief as much as it worried her that her friends were here with her as well, even given the situation.

"Rather than disturb everyone, perhaps if we go inside, out of the hall?" It didn't particularly matter to Lacus whether they went into Kira or Athrun's room, but surely it would be better to do so rather than talking out in the hall like this.

A tinge of red rushed to color Cagalli's cheeks, and she stuck her nose in the air as she looked away with an embarrassed huff.

"Whatever. Athrun, come on, we're all waiting."

Without missing a beat, she turned towards Kira's room and made her way towards it. The others would follow in due time, right?

While he's still bleary, he's pretty sure that not following Cagalli would plainly lead into something akin to a mess, which would be why he's going to just nod and well, follow after her, really.

Since no would ever be crazy enough not to follow Cagalli's lead, Kira followed them close behind. "My room number is 605. Errr ... before I forget. Please watch the floor, guys."

"The floor? What have you been doing, to make a mess already, Kira?" Lacus asked, curious but seeming more amused than annoyed by his concern about them stepping on something. She is also following along after her friends, not one to argue about which boy's room they sat in to catch up together, carrying Haro to avoid him bouncing at their feet and tripping them.

Too far ahead to really listen to what her brother was saying, Cagalli nearly fell face first into the pile of components when she entered the apartment. It was only by catching herself on the doorframe that she was able to avoid a very bad situation for all of them.

"Kira, what on earth?!" she glared at her brother, the words spoken before she knew what was going on. "Are you trying to trip me?"

There's a sigh as he heard the yelling.

"To be honest, he did warn you."

He noticed the fact that she was too far away to hear Kira, but well, might as well defend his best friend for a bit.

First he turned to Lacus and started to explain, "I'm working on something---"

"Kira, what on earth?!"

When he heard that, he winced. Maybe he should said it just a little bit louder. He was going to be in so much trouble now. "Sorry ... I was working on something. I didn't have time to clean up." He realized now that maybe he should have cleaned up a bit at least.

"I am in trouble, aren't I, Athrun?"

"Oh, I see. What exactly have you been working on?" Lacus began to ask, as they heard Cagalli, who obviously hadn't heard Kira's warning about being mindful of where she stepped. Lacus hoped their friend was all right and hadn't stepped on anything too important.

"Are you all right, Cagalli?"

"I'm fine--" she managed to say as she righted herself completely, turning to huff at her brother. "You really need to be more careful with your stuff!"

That seemingly settled, the blonde made her way into the apartment, tiptoeing around various parts and pieces until she got to the couch. Cagalli plopped down with a sigh, clearly happy to be out of the danger zone.

"What are you doing, anyway?"

"Looks to me like he's working on some kind of robotic item."

Of what, he's not that sure yet as he checked one of the pieces of the circuit that's there on the ground.

"Err --- maybe I maybe I can't say I was making anything really." Kira gestures to what looked like his dismantled tablet. At least now it looked like he was putting it together. If you're wondering why he couldn't be contacted earlier, you now have your answer. His tablet was in pieces.

"I was just making sure that this thing was safe. I just wanted to be sure. I don't like the idea of being bugged."

"You thought it might be bugged?" Lacus asked as she entered and looked around at the parts across the floor. She hadn't quite considered that herself, but then, this was a whole new world, so she hadn't been in quite the same mindset as when she had been branded a traitor back home before. She supposed it was quite possible though, that the Initiative would want to keep an eye on them all to ensure they were at least not causing problems. Lacus carried Pink as she made her way carefully over to join Cagalli near the couch.
