Summary: Looking for roommates, new and old!!

There had been a sign hanging on Loiec's door for the last couple of days. In fact, there had been a sign hanging on Loiec's door for most of the days that they'd been here. Nik passed it every time he ventured out of his room to the kitchen and sometimes he would still pause to read it, even though he had it memorized by now. 'OUT, CHECK AGAIN LATER.'
Nik stands in front of Loiec's door now, unopened juicebox in hand, eyeing the sign suspiciously.
After some thought, he pulls a chair over from the kitchen, climbs up on it, takes the sign down, clambers back off, puts the chair back, and resumes walking down the hall. But he passes his own room to make straight for the front door.
A couple minutes later finds him standing outside the apartment complexes, blinking in the sunlight as the wind combs through his hair. He takes a break to sit down on the steps, carefully placing Loiec's sign behind him. That frees up both hands to fuss with his juicebox. He's having trouble getting the plastic off the straw.

"That's my room! You're my new roommate! Wow! That's really exciting. I'm so glad, I like having roommates!" Nik is so pleased by this new turn of events that he's babbling. But he catches himself and settles back down, at which point his hand hits the sign behind him and he's reminded of why he came out in the first place.
"Oh!" Nik picks the sign up, and props it up against his chest so that Madoka can read it (though it is upside-down). "We have another roommate, too. His name is Loiec. But I don't know where he is. I think he is missing."

Still, at the mention of a third roommate and the fact he's missing. "Oh... there's no way to contact him? Even with these," She fumbles to show the other device she had been given, turning it over. "This thing?"

His frown softens somewhat as he looks up at Madoka. "Will you go looking for him with me, miss?"

At the question, barely a second passes before she nods. "Of course, I will! And feel free to call me Madoka, okay?"

He's already getting up as he speaks, and is all ready to stomp off adventuring before he takes note of the fact that Madoka is still carrying things with her. That makes him pause.
"Oh. Actually, do you want to see the room first? Then you can put your stuff away and you won't have to carry it with you everywhere." Nik holds up his empty juicebox, too, and frowns at it. "And I can throw this away...."

He opens door and squeezes himself through, then hops along down the hallway and up the stairs to the second floor. It doesn't take long to get to the room from there. He uses his own keys to open the door and let them in.
"That's my room!" Nik says, pointing towards the nearest open door. Then he turns his finger on to the closed door that he'd taken the sign off of. "And that's Loiec's room. And the other room is your room."

Once inside the unit, she can't help stepping around and giving it a glance over. She tries to get familiar with it, since this will be home for however long she might be here.
"Thank you," Madoka says, smiling as she moves to open the door and glance inside. "I hope we can have fun together, all three of us."

He excuses himself to go into the kitchen and properly dispose of his juicebox. While he's at it, he makes another trip to the refrigerator and pulls out a new juicebox, ascertains its flavor, and finds it agreeable. Upon returning to Madoka, he holds the new juicebox out to her.
"This is for you," he says. "It's strawberry-banana flavor and it's the best."

She almost misses Nik speaking to her, blinking suddenly once she catches up as she turns on her feet. There a small moment of pause before she smiles, taking the juicebox with a soft word of thanks as she stabs the straw into the box and takes a long sip.
"Ah, it's really good! Thank you again."

He hops past her, now with only the sign in his hand, only stopping once he's reached the front door. "Do you want to go out now? Let's go out now!" A pause as he thinks. Having to look into the fridge reminded him... "Do you like ice cream? Oh! Do you know what ice cream is? Someone else I met here didn't know."
