ɪ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ, ɢᴜᴛs ᴀɴᴅ ᴄʜᴏᴄᴏʟᴀᴛᴇ ᴄᴀᴋᴇ.
Date & Time: This afternoon
Location: A bar.
Characters: "Cat" and you.
Summary: Little girl hangs out at age-appropriate locations. Because that's how she rolls.
[ The girl sits at a table near the door. She has a good view of it and of the rest of the locale. She kicks her feet idly as she eats. The chair is too high for her to touch with anything but the very tip of her toes—and then only if she strains.
The owner had not been too pleased when she first began to frequent it, but she had not caused trouble and had money and had widened her eyes and jutted her lower lip and he had caved. Sometimes now he will even let her have a small cup of watered beer. She smiles and is sweet and he'll sit at the table with her when there aren't many patrons and entertain her with stories.
People like to hear themselves talk.
At the moment, she is alone. Her cup is near empty as is her plate. She takes her time. It is always cold and wet outside; she hung her cloak to dry on the chair beside her.
She shuffles a deck of cards one-handed. She has been practicing every day. The cards are as much an extension of her hands as her sword. ]

It's all about getting ready now. She's never done much with her coin, of course she knows what it is and how it works-- she isn't that savage, but she's never wanted for much. If she could hunt, she wouldn't even need it.
But now she's seeing what she can buy. She has furs enough, but food rations and water are important. Keeping these things good is the hardest part. She's been all over the city today, buying bottles and the like. It's still strange, all this place offers. For all she knows, she's always feeling like she knows nothing here.
It's unsettling.
She winds up at this bar, not minding the ale here. It's when she stands at the bar, coin in hand, she sees the girl. She remembers well enough about names to keep it to herself. Once the flagon is placed before her, Ygritte takes it to the table.]
I've seen them before, girl. [She nods at the cards. Remy has a deck he's showed her. He can do things with them, make them explode.]
Do you play?

[ She continues what she was doing. She doesn't look up. ]

Never had the time t'just sit around.

[ She finally looks up. ]
What do you do now?
no subject
What about you? You-- get food and what you need, aye? [She doesn't know why she cares-- well, she does, but she won't admit it to anyone out loud.]

Today, he walks in the door and offers the owner's wife a wink, which she responds to by waving him away with flushed cheeks. He keeps his coat on and takes an idle look around, before spotting the girl sitting in the corner. But he's not looking at her, exactly, but rather the cards in her hands. His smile is slightly ironic as he steps towards her. )
Know any tricks?

That is to say, his alt-mode pulls up and parks along the curb, and his holomatter gets out of the driver's side. Not exactly someone you'd expect to be driving a nice car like that... and dressed like a samurai, swords and all.
He meanders in, admittedly, he was actually here looking for a job. Rather, looking for a job for his holomatter.
Though it doesn't really take long for him to get entirely sidetracked when he spots someone he knows. The almost too-bright man smiles from eat to ear and throws up a stiff wave with one hand. ]
Cat! Hey there!
[ He leans in, lowering his voice as he points out the window. ]
It's me, Drift! I'm in disguise.
[ Wow he's pleased with himself. ]
no subject
It's not a very good one.
[ Cat. Nicest child. ]

W-well I suppose.
Perhaps.
Do you mind if I join you?
no subject
I don't care.
[ That would be a "please sit" in Cat-speak. ]
btw meaning to ask, does she have her sword on her?

He has nothing better to do for the moment; he hopes she doesn't mind]
You're quite good at that. [he means the cards, though he isn't entirely sure what to make of them] Cat, wasn't it?
no subject
[ Oh my goodness he really is someone she can look down at! *^* This happens so rarely. ]
You're...Frodo?

This is a curious place for to stay in. Would you not find it more interesting to be with those your own age?

So, seeing as ignoring those urges would only make a stressful day even more so, Kratos had decided to stop by a bar for a glass of wine and possibly an accompanying meal. As he enters the establishment, there's a quick glance around to grasp how packed the bar is. If too many people were here then buying a bottle of some wine and drinking at home would do just as well.
Something, or someone rather, instantly catches his attention. Cat. Maybe he raises an eyebrow at the fact she's apparently playing with cards in a bar. It's strange enough to get him to come by.]
You've certainly chosen an odd place to practice card tricks in.

[ Her hand stills on the cards. She takes her time sipping at her beer before looking up. ]
Why are you here?
no subject
For the same reason as a majority of the other patrons.
[Namely for the booze.]

He only frowns for a moment on seeing the girl in the corner, but he wouldn't have come closer if not for a hint of scent. ...wolf? It can't be.
Isaac has to investigate, and so comes over, finally noticing the cards.]
That's impressive, with the cards. Are you one of the transports?

No.
