[ Steph had been kind to escort him this far, but he'd waved her off (with many thanks, naturally) before facing the door to Rin's apartment.

He can't remember who her roommates are, and there's no databank in his brain to scan for the information. Are they the type to stay out late? Because late, it definitely is. Or do they go to bed early? If he knocks, he may wake them up. It may be someone other than his own face that answers the door.

That, he decides, wouldn't be such a bad thing. He knocks sharply, and leans against the door frame afterward. Just to make sure he won't, you know, fall over. Rin's lovely body doesn't need any bruises. ]

I do, I swear! By, ah... [ He looks a little at a loss, then shrugs. ] I swear, very solemnly?

Okay. Then... hold still.

[Grouchily, Rin lifts a hand to Vanadi's jawline - god this is weird - encouraging him to tilt his face up.]

[ And he does, happily and willingly. If he just ignores the scar, ignores the thinned, silvered hair, ignores how gaunt those cheekbones look to him... he can almost see the face that he used to think of as very attractive.

Eh, scratch that. Better just think of Rin. And with her visualized at the forefront of his mind, he leans in to initiate the kiss himself. ]

- mm. [All right, that's fine.

The deal's probably off if it's a bad kiss, so Rin will try her best. She leans down a little, turning her head so they don't bash noses, and with a feeling of being pushed off a cliff even opens her mouth a little ot lick against her own lips. One good kiss. That's all it takes.]

[ It's sort of jarring, to think of Rin, but feel his own lips and pointed kitrian teeth kissing back. Fortunately, he's too drunk to care that much. He kisses enthusiastically, welcoming the open mouth and following suit, and one hand instinctively going to thread through that same thinned, silvered hair. ]

[Well this ain't... bad. Moving to embrace Vanadi would be displaying a little more enthusiasm than she wants to, so Rin refrains. She kisses cooperatively enough otherwise, and though evidently inexperienced she's not that bad at it either, nuzzling against Vanadi's face and giving it a little more. One kiss. One good kiss and then it's boom done. Ten... nine...]

[ It's instinct, he can't help it. And even if he could, he wouldn't. But either way, when he breaks the kiss in the next few seconds, it's only to nuzzle his head down and kiss along Rin's—his—whatever— neck, kissing and nipping lightly as he travels from jawline to neck proper. ]

[She shivers, completely out of her control, and OKAY THAT'S PROBABLY ENOUGH - six five four three two one - pulling away and trying not to be overly hasty with it.]

[ He blinks when she pulls away, a little disorientated, but more disappointed. ]

What? I wasn't done yet, though...

But... [ He sinks into a good pout, leaning back a little further. ] It wasn't much of one. It was only starting.

But... [ argument, he needs an argument, a really convincing one

[Okay, NOW she'll put her arms around him in a hug.]

[ There's a weird second where he's not entirely sure what to do with that, before he sighs and leans in again, resting his chin on her shoulder. Anything is better than nothing.

And as long as he's here, may as well ask a curiosity that's been running around in his head recently: ] Rin... I think... my libido has gone down. Slightly. Only a little. Does that mean yours is up?

[She rubs his back a little. Gosh, her body is easy to cuddle. The advantages of being tiny.]
