Summary: Nine teenagers with varying degrees of trauma decide to go camping.
(Actually, eight teenagers get bullied into going camping by Ellie.)
Warnings: Not sure yet; I'll add them as they come up. At the very least some language, and fallout from PTSD.

Ellie had found the place once before on her wandering into the Outlands; a dilapidated old barn, with stone walls and a roof that was, by some miracle, completely intact despite all the evidence of nature clambering up its walls and trying to reclaim it for the land. There's a hill leading down to it, and if you follow that hill down, you meet the woods, a big lake. It's beautiful, she thinks. Nowhere near so wild as Hell, but that was better.
Finding that place had been how it started, before thinking about getting some of the others together had kicked in. A way to unwind, after the body swap. At the very least a chance to get some decent people all together in the same place (and maybe a way to apologise to Asami for pointing a gun at her that one time).
OOC: Party style, adventures everyone.Just go wild, if you want it to be set at a particular time, maybe specify in the subject line? I'm doing some starters just... in case that helps but do whatever you like tbh. YEAH. There's also the ooc plotting post so chuck folks in there and scheme and let the madness and CR unfold.

it's a sign of affection from bats
wow thank
Huh. No, I don't think - I mean there's got to be, right? Even if they don't have a photo lab, I'm sure they've got the right chemicals lying around somewhere. I mean, they've got mutant animals all over the place, chemicals are obviously not in short supply.
you're welcome
[It could be the new hispter thing. Radioactive photography.]
The Initiative have a lab, though, that might have what you need. Or you could just go on a shopping trip next time we're on Earth in the right era.
[Nevermind that they're supposed to be fighting a war, sometimes you just need to go shopping.]
no subject
Yeah, I'll definitely keep that in mind next time I end up stealing paintings while wearing someone else's face.
I bet the lab's got everything. It's pretty basic, and they've got time machines, so - basically what I'm saying is if they don't have what I'd need, that is a really severe and bizarre oversight.
[ Also what's with those tenses on the boyfriend commentary, actually. ] You had a boyfriend? [ No wait, that sounds rude. ] I mean - not that I'm saying you wouldn't, I'm just saying - is he here?
no subject
I dunno, they have time machines but I've yet to find a waffle iron. The technology here is all over the place. [Motsly because they prioritize things that are useful in the war effort, and unfortunately waffle irons are not in that category (they should be).
The look she gives him is a little sheepish, because, yeah, grammar is not her strong point, though she also looks amused at his phrasing.] Nice save. [A+] But no, ex-boyfriend, technically, I guess. He's not here.
[They never actually officially broke up, because Bats are terrible at talking about feelings.]
What about you? [Boyfriend or girlfriend, whatever.]
no subject
Oh. Sorry. About him not being here, it sounds like - you still get along, right?
[ And oh no a question about him, he's not good at those. It also brings back a few issues he's been more or less ignoring since he got here, so although his nerves kind of cover it, his tone's a bit more somber. ]
No. Yes? Maybe - [ There's a beat for thought before he finally settles on an answer. ] I don't think so. Things were kind of complicated when I left.
no subject
But her expression softens, picking up on the slight tone shift.]
That always sucks. [Try dating someone when you don't even know their real name.] Maybe you'll get a chance to sort it out when you get home? If you both like each other, things have a way of working out.
[Steph is secretly a bit of a hopeless romantic.]
