Date & Time: Noon, March 22nd
Location: Outside the apartments
Characters: Merlin & Oz
Summary: ...Merlin's cooking brings the nobles to the yard?
Warnings: T for technological difficulties
[Some time's already passed since Merlin's first day in the city, and he's grown used to the odd looks he draws on what feels like a daily basis. It's not surprising, when he goes out of his way to avoid the strange technology built into the city. Which is how you end up with a certain warlock crouched outside the apartment building, carefully tending to the fire that he's cooking stew over. Yes, a real cooking fire.
While Merlin would have preferred moving further from the building, the constant rain keeps him fenced in quite efficiently. He glances up at the small awning keeping him and his fire sheltered from the light drizzle, pleased that he doesn't have to run through heavier rain to reach the building's entrance. The aroma wafting from the stew tell him it's done; after a furtive glance around, he silently casts a spell to keep the food warm and then puts out the fire.
He hopes Arthur and the others are hungry--he's made quite a lot this time.]

he'd been returning from a trip to the market when he paused in front of the housing building. something....nearby, smells delicious, warm aroma wafting unmistakably. through the chill. he follows the smell until, after just a moment, he happens upon someone crouched over a...pot? )
Did you make that?

Merlin glances up, smiling. He gives the pot another few stirs before he finally stands up.]
Yeah, just finished, actually. The rain makes it a bit difficult to get the fire going, so it's lucky I found this place.
[He gestures up at the awning.]
