[Open] Now smile as you're standing
Date & Time: 3/29 Midafternoon
Location: Lobby, heading to warehouses
Characters: Anduin Wrynn and Cairistiona Vyeth
Summary: Cairistiona has an escort quest!
Warnings: N/A
True to his last transmission with Cairistiona, the young prince had politely ended the conversation so that he could make his way downstairs to the lobby to meet with her. He was brimming with excitement at the prospect of learning a tradeskill - granted it was merely a start, but it was something and that was more than he had at present. Besides, Jaina had been right with her suggestion. There was no harm in working with the people, in his mind - he had been doing it for some time now in Pandaria and title could only take you so far in a world not your own.
Anduin desperately wanted to be seen for his merits aside from the title that he did love ...but felt carried little weight here, no matte what his father might have thought. At least if he had some real work to focus on, he wouldn't mourn his father's absence quite as much. So the white pawn stood in the lobby and he waited, gently tugging on his gloves as he studied the room quietly. This would be a good thing, his inner voice murmured. And if I'm so terrible at it that there is no hope then I am sure she will not hold it against me. Well, Anduin hoped so at least.

Since she was escorting Anduin, Cairistiona knew she had to have more than just her shield and mace with her, so while she made her way to the lobby, the familiar jingle of heavy plate armor was heard. She chose to wear her blue and yellow armor with her shield and mace strapped in their respective positions. When the paladin saw him in view, she raised her hand in a wave.
"Hail, Your Highness. Have I kept you waiting long?" she asked, giving the younger a smile.
no subject
"Hail!" And then he relaxed, letting his arm fall to his side as he bowed politely. "No, I haven't been waiting long at all." He murmured, fighting a grin, attempting to look serious ...and failing miserably. It was good to have something to do, to have something to keep himself occupied with (even if he wasn't so certain that his father would approve of this particular path) and there was no greater way to get more understanding of the people as a whole, except perhaps if he had apprenticed in a medical field.
...That was still an option as well, though, depending on how he handled Blacksmithing.
"Ready to go?" He asked, clasping his hands politely behind his back, adopting a somewhat relaxed military posture.

In a way, blacksmithing would also help her out as far as distractions went. Someone somewhere needed a weapon in which to fight and she was happy to do that. It'd help her not worry about her family as a whole any further than she did.
"Of course. I'll lead the way." Like a true soldier, Cair began to walk out, keeping an even pace so that Anduin could keep up with her. She had brought along her mining pick in case if there were any nodes in which to mine as well as a satchel to put her things in. In a way, she was happy to do this sort of adventure with Stormwind's prince as she really did not spend too much time with people from Azeroth. She'd have to remedy that.

"I apologize if it takes time to understand some of the basics - but I will do my best." he added with an earnest smile, glancing up at Cairistiona. She seemed confident enough as she led the way for them, and he wondered where perhaps she had been before being dragged her like himself and so many others.
so sorry for the delay!
She soon found herself in the city, keeping an eye out for anything that came her way. Out of sheer habit, her hand gripped at her mace's hilt. "Would you like to stop anywhere for tea, by the way?"
<3 no worries
"It's a nice thought, but I doubt anyone could manage that without being a dwarf themselves. Or possessing some very dwarflike thinking habits, perhaps?" They did seem to have a way with stone and metal after all that was to be respected even when it wasn't completely understood.
For a split second, Anduin thought back to King Magni, smile faltering a little. It was quickly chased away at Cairistiona's question, Anduin's head raising to nod.
"Yes, that would be lovely!"
