When the Fairies Descend on Israel
Who: Lucy Heartfilia, Juvia Lockser, Erza Scarlet, Natsu Dragneel
Date & Time: 4/1/13 - Morning
Location: Tel Aviv, Israel
Summary: Mission Times!
Warnings: none
Shortly after Erza had returned from the Wastes, she'd instructed Lucy on getting the others together so that they could head out on the mission she'd received from the Initiative some time ago. After passing out clothing appropriate for the era they were heading to, as well as the money for the duration of their stay, and a little after the group passed into 1999 Israel, Lucy paused to regard their new surroundings for a few minutes, then to her nakama.
"I guess we should try to find a place to stay first, and then go over the plan. We only have two days to complete our mission - I don't know if you want to take care of business first and then maybe- maybe a little tourism the other day. Erza?"
Silly hopeful Lucy. That second day is probably going to be full of destruction and apologies and fleeing quietly back to Exsilium. But shes going to hope and PRAY that things don't turn out like they normally do, and at that unspoken thought she glances in Natsu's direction for a bit.

Day 1: Touring/Socializing/Shenanigans/whatever we do what we want!

Still a new place meant new things to learn and see for the first time. Especially since this was in the world of Exsilium which was fundamentally alien to his own.
Even so he knew when a pair of eyes were watching him. So he turned away from sniffing at one of the street-stands and regarded Lucy curiously.
"What? Did I get something on my face?" He thought he was far enough from the stand to not get any of that fruit on his cheek or anything of the sort.

As refreshing as the atmosphere was they couldn't afford to stand around all day, they were on a mission after all. Erza turned to face her three comrades.
"As intriguing as this place is, remember what we're here for. We should find food and accommodation as soon as possible and plan from there. A single room would be more affordable."
Not like she had a problem sharing a room with Natsu. Erza then handed out small sums of money to each of her comrades.
"This should be enough for one souvenir each."
Okay it wasn't a holiday, but they should still commemorate their first mission together.
"Any questions before we set out?"
no subject
Oh if only Gray-sama was here with her
and not hidden somwewhere in Lucy's roomto take in the exotic city. They could do so much stuff together, like go out to dinner for instance and then Gray would carry her back to his room and they'd finish the night off...Come on, Juvia! Focus!
The water mage jumped in place, a light blush now covered her cheeks, as she took the money from Erza. She actually hadn't listened to a word Erza said, except for the last part, and nervously looked over to Lucy and Natsu with a slight nod.
"Juvia understands. Complete the mission first." That was correct, right?
no subject
... also can you promise not to wreck the joint so we actually get paid? -sob- Then a glance to Juvia, "Ne Juvia, want to check out the stalls with me after we're settled in?" Sure, normally she'd be looking around town with Natsu, but with another girl she can dish and gossip and Natsu will be stuck with Erza and--- and she's so sorry Natsu. Of course, Erza might decide to join the girls and thus Natsu will be left to his own devices and with luck he won't cause too much trouble.

"I can go get the food!" You better stop him unless Juvia and Lucy want to go shopping for a new tongue after the first meal. Erza could probably take it. She was a mountain in many aspects after all.
"One room? Then should we be looking for a hotspring kind of place?" What? Don't look at him like that. It was the only type of establishment he could think of that allowed that kind of rooming arrangement. Well that and the big rooms back in Crocus for the Grand Magic Tournament teams.
no subject
"That's an excellent idea Natsu, a good soak might do us all some good."
There was just one small problem.
"But I'm not sure if they have hotsprings in this city. We can't spend too long searching for one either; we need to remain as close to the target zone as possible."
Erza knew everyone would be devastated that they couldn't take a bath together but such was the nature of being on a job.
"Then we'll split up for now, I'll head this way and look for an appropriate inn. Natsu here..."
She added some extra cash to his stack.
"Find something exotic for dinner, we should sample the cuisine of this land while we can."
Essentially this was the same as giving him express permission to try and murder them all but Erza was oblivious to this fact.
"Lucy, Juvia meet us back here in one hour. Everyone should do their souvenir shopping now as well, there may not be enough time later."
No this is still not a holiday.
no subject
The girl did perk up slightly. Whew! Safe for now. "Come on Miss Lucy you heard Miss Erza, we should do our shopping now. I bet I can find something resembling Gray-sama or even find something for him~." She paused. "Lucy should do the same for Mr. Natsu while he gets dinner." And not for Gray.
no subject
She tenses at Juvia's innocent suggestion, grasping the other girl's arm and leaning in closer. "Wha.. why would you even suggest that?" Nevermind she had kind of planned on getting him something just... just because they were friends, but still, it was flustering a bit.
no subject
"Yea you're probably right. Still it won't hurt to keep an eye out just in case while we do our looking around and shopping." He shrugged before getting the money from Erza. A big grin spread from ear to ear. This was going to be fun.
"Aye aye. I'll make sure to get the really good stuff they got on offer. Dinner'll be something to remember." If they survive. Well Erza's survival was guaranteed. no matter what.
Natsu didn't catch what Juvia said so his only reaction to the two girls was him looking over curiously, only making out what they were saying from that point onward.
Day 2: Screwing up the Plan. :I
It's a simple plan. Too simple.
It's doomed.

He was already at the rendezvous room, toying with a flame in his mouth since he couldn't do it openly lest he freaked out the normal folk of this timeline.

Natsu looked up and smiled when he saw Lucy coming in.
"Nah I haven't. We're the first ones here. At least Erza won't be after us for being late." Remember the whole 'your relationship is no excuse to be late'.
no subject
"Well I guess we've still got plenty of time. The incident doesn't happen until evening - and if we convince the guy not to leave at all, we can avoid any problems whatsoever!"
And they'll get paid. "I'm feeling pretty pumped up about this." That sense of foreboding she had before? GONE. It was all in her head, clearly. "I bet Erza will be surprised that we got here before everyone else." Smug smug. Fufu. "Did you sleep all right?"
no subject
"Yeah. We just need to track the guy down. But I did get his scent when we visited his work place so I'll find him for sure." Confident as always.
"It was alright. As expected of a hotel room I guess." Sleeping in Lucy's bed still ranks the highest in the rankings of best place to sleep in.
no subject
Hee. Resting her cheek against her palm, she hrms at the latter, "It's always a little hard sleeping in a new place. The bed's pretty nice, but I still feel like I tossed and turned for a while before I managed to get to sleep myself."
no subject
"Yea. Especially in a hotel you get to smell so many different people who used the room once that it gets really distracting. " Ah the things a dragon Slayer had to put up with.
no subject
Well. The bed was always more warm with him there, for one. At least she hadn't curled up against him in that comfort or anything. Boy would THAT be awkward to wake up to.
...also that... statement suddenly made Lucy pause, "... Seriously?" That's kinda gross.
no subject
He blinked curiously at her reaction.
"Well yea. It's sort of another reason why I like camping out when on jobs." Having a keen nose could be suffering in many ways.
no subject
"I didn't think about that... I guess no matter how clean they make those sheets it's still not enough for you huh?"
... she glanced away briefly, then turns back to her friend, leaning against the back of the couch. That was right, she had gotten him a souvenier when she was out with Juvia. She smiled brightly, "By the way, I..." Pause. Wait, what if he didn't like it?
/Fluff Interupted.
"Good, you're both here already."
Were they expecting praise? They'd get none from Erza; they were supposed to be here early anyway.
"Where's Juvia?"
Hahaha welcome~
"Hm? What is it Lucy? " Honestly unless it was something really girly, odds were he would like it. And then it would end up in his new corner of memories he's been slowly building in his bedroom.
And of course Erza found them chatting away like that.
"Yo Erza. What took you so long?" Since she wouldn't praise then he could tease. That's how these things worked right? Right! Only not when Erza was involved.
"Haven't seen her yet. I thought she might come down with you."
Fluff? What fluff, no fluff here O:3
"Good morning, Erza!" At the subject of Juvia, Lucy paused - hopefully the other girl was okay. She started to her feet, "I'll go check on her." Oh Juvia, being late for a mission is never a good thing. Especially when it was Erza leading the group.
everyone sees ur fluff
Stopping in front of the others, she brushed her coat off as she dropped her gift bags- there were so many.
"Were should Juvia be stationed?"
no subject
Said with a smile. She then placed the roll of paper on the table and continued eating her pastry. Erza remained unperturbed by Natsu's comment, giving him a sidelong glance as she chewed on her treat.
"I was waiting for the bakeries to open. I hope you've all eaten breakfast, there isn't time anymore."
With Juvia's arrival, Erza was ready to explain her plan. With her free hand she unfurled the scroll on the table revealing a map of the general area.
"This is the roadway where the accident is meant to take place."
She traced a finger along the line.
"And this is where Mr.Shahar, our target, should be stopping to refuel his vehicle right now. The plan is a simple one, Juvia and Lucy will create a distraction on the roadway, causing traffic to block this intersection. Natsu and I will then persuade Mr.Shahar to take a different route to work."
Easy right?
"Are there any questions?"
no subject
"Aww no fair. Lucy gets the fun part." He grumbled with a sigh of disappointment. Natsu could think up of quite a few ways to block the traffic. Most of which involved him breaking things be they traffic lights or the pavement of the road itself.
no subject
"A distraction?" Uh... hrm. What kind of a distraction could she and Juvia make? It was pretty simple, though honestly, she'd think Erza and Natsu were better suited to distractions, while she and Juvia could persuade the guy. But then, Distraction with those two tended to get spelled D-E-S-T-R-U-C-T-I-O-N and that would bring a whole slew of problems.
Clearly Erza made the correct choice - but it didn't keep Lucy from chuckling a little at Natsu's response. "It's pretty straightforward. We can handle that, no problem! Right, Juvia?"
She's a little TOO confident about this.
no subject
"Of course. So long as Mr. Natsu isn't doing it, there should be no problems." She said with a glance his way. Sorry Natsu, as much as Juvia liked him as friend he couldn't be trusted with this task. Not that relying on any other Fairy Tail mage was any better, it was going to end in destrctuion no matter what.
She just didn't know it yet.
"Juvia will create a barricade of water to slow people down and Miss Lucy...Lucy can do something else." She really had no idea what Lucy could do. Something with her spirits obviously.
