[Without TV, school or any real obligations, time had started to lose a lot of its meaning here in Exsilium. The reprecussion of which was, of course, that Toji was late. He had planned to be on time, honest--heck, he had planned to be there early--but then he had taken that nap on the couch, and two hours later here he was, running down ten-odd flights of stairs because the elevator was just too slow. By the time he reached the bottom he was panting heavily, and he stumbled outside, hoping that Shinji hadn't given up on him in the fifteen minutes he'd made him wait.
He gave a quick look around for that one familiar face, and lo and behold someone up there must be on Toji's side today, because there was his friend, still standing around waiting for him, umbrella in hand.]
Hey, Ikari!
[He waved and trotted up to his friend, beaming like the sweaty idiot he was. It was nice to see a friend. To see someone normal.]
