It was hard to push Kriem away even if she appeared to be the weaker out of the two. Physically she may have been, but it was her character and sense of self that gave the recovering NEXT the strength to even bring a city to its knees. Not many would believe she could ever do such a thing, especially with Jake standing right beside her, but it was something she had always worked to her advantage.

"You can share some miso with us before you go, if you like," Kriem said. The brush off didn't bother her at all. She was immune to it after being with Jake for so long, and gestured for Jake to reach into the cupboard. "Could you pull out another bowl while I'm serving?"
