we couldn't break from the concrete - OPEN
Date & Time: May 17th, morning to afternoon
Location: Out and about in the city. Thass is going shopping for things and poking about the city. Only place he won't show up is the gardens, p. much.
Characters: Thassarian, Maria Thorpe, and Jaime Reyes, mostly. Open to others, though, if you wanna run into a dead dude!
Summary: I PROMISED FEY AND JAINA THAT THEIR CHARACTERS COULD MEET THE UNDEAD DUDE WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME THEY WANT ON HIS CR CHART TO START THE REP GRIND
Warnings: mentions about death. And stuff...? Maybe...?
[There were still some things he needed to pick up for the farm, and he needed other things, too. Clothes, especially. More like what he was wearing now- he was starting to warm up to these earth clothes. Figuratively, that was.
Again, as usual, he is wearing his black combat boots, olive pants, black shirt, tan raincoat, and black gloves. You can find him wandering about the city. Maybe it's on the bus, or at a small clothing shopSHOPPIN AT THE BIG AND TALL????. He'll also be stopping in at a bar for a beer at some point because what are you gonna do]
((OOC: tag in with location and such, bbs. Any location that works best for you is fine by me. <3))

[Jaime ends up picking up a blue sweater, which he can admit is frankly a little ridiculous. Most of his wardrobe had been in varying shades of blue even before he became the Blue Beetle, but there's such a thing as taking a theme too far.
In acquiescence to this, he picks up a green one and simply tugs it over his shirt to try it on.]
What happened to your kingdom?

My prince...well, he didn't have the best intentions. Something was broken in him.
[It was the best way he could put it.]
He created an undead army, and stormed the kingdom. I was part of that army...but I have my free will, again.
Lordaeron is in ruins, and the only people that live there now are undead, like myself.

He knows of the existence of too many crazy things to truly doubt Thassarian's claims, but they sound unearthly even by his standards.
He supposes this is due to the fact that Thassarian isn't exactly from Earth.]
That sounds awful. [He rubs at the back of his neck.] Um, congratulations on getting free from that, anyway.

[A thin smile. It's what he tells himself, at least.]
What part of Earth are you from? I don't know very much about it.
no subject
Huh. I'm not sure what to tell you without knowing what you already know. Have you heard of America?
WOW HERE I AM A WEEK LATER YEAH GO ME
[He really he is interested this is really neat. He smiles a bit, encouraging Jaime to tell him ALL ABOUT IT.]
IT'S ALL GOOD
[Does he even know what that is? This guy is from way back, it looks like.] Um, a president's the guy that we vote in to lead.
WELCOME TO DEE'S HOUSE OF RLY LATE TAGS YEAH
[Feudal society mans is greatly confused by your democracy.]
How do you decide who is king, then? Or, president, rather...if they don't train for it and learn what they need to?
What happens to those that lose the vote?
[He tilts his head at Jaime. This was all very interesting. The closest the could think of was something like the city of Dalaran, but he'd never heard of a council electing a leader to serve a whole country before.
Interesting.]
WE HAVE SOFT TACOS
[He shrugs. He knows a lot of people have a problem with their system, but that's the extent of it.] There's a couple of political parties that back up the people running. I guess you don't get to that point without any training. And the loser just goes back to doing whatever he was doing before he started the campaign.
GAS-POWERED STICK!
That's very different from my home. Interesting, though.
[He wasn't sure how such a system would work, though, with the common and, he assumed, uneducated, making the decisions of who ran the place.]
We have one city that's almost its own country...it's is run by a council headed by a main mage. Like that?
