Date & Time: Before the newest 'weird stuff is happening to me' plot, early evening

Summary: Safehouse planning

Robin was very good at looking innocent. It was a skill that had saved his life more than once. But without something to do it was never an easy matter to loiter anywhere without raising suspicion. Therefore Robin had brought a book, which he had picked up at a small secondhand shop.

And found himself completely engrossed in the contents. Which is why, when Anders and Nathaniel approached, he found himself both startled and slightly embarrassed.

"I will, and gladly." Robin hastily stuffs the book into his pouch, hoping neither man had seen the title. He shoulders his bow and follows the pair. "I've not seen as much of the city as I should, I fear."

"I've scouted out most of it," Nathaniel replies, "though I'm sure the city still has secrets I haven't found yet."

"I've mostly scouted out the bars." Anders chuckles. "It's more work than you'd expect, given I don't really drink. You learn a lot in bars."

It's safest to talk, he's decided, when you're moving around a fair bit, not staying in one place. "I'm not taking you anywhere in particular just yet. It's where we end up that's important. In the meantime, you'll be seeing a lot of nondescript office buildings. Isn't it odd? They've got these huge great buildings, taller than chantries, and all that's in them is offices."

Robin considered the skyline, what he could see of it, and nodded. "A chantry is... like a cathedral, I presume? I have heard of their splendor, though I have never seen one. Chapels aplenty, of course." He shook his head. "It's a pity. All of this lifeless stone; all of the wild destroyed to lay it here, and for what?"

"The chantries are houses of worship for Andrastians," Nathaniel explains. "Some of them can be quite small and plain, but others are extremely ornate."
