( semi-open )
Date & Time: June 11th
Location: Initiative Hospital
Characters: Lavi, Hospital roomies (Collette & co) and visitors!
Summary: LAVI'S HARD LIFE as he turns back to his normal size at the worst possible time.
Warnings: naked butts.
[ The sound of something ripping is what pulls Lavi away from sleep, drifting back into the land of feverish semi-consciousness. At first he can't really discern whether the sound was something from his dreams or if it came from the room. It's only when he moves a hand to rub his eye that the realization starts dawning on him because his hand is big. The sound had come from him as his body suddenly got too big for the small child-sized hospital gown he'd been wearing.
There's a moment of dumbfounded staring at his own hand before he suddenly bolts upright, exclaiming with breathless excitement: ]
I'm back to normal!
[ And then it occurs to him . . .
Wait shit, he's back to normal and he's not wearing anything nor has anything to wear.
Kanda had said a week, but considering the circumstances he hadn't really kept an eye on the number of passing days. It was hard to when one was stuck in a hospital bed, not always entirely lucid and often losing track of time so he hadn't even thought of asking someone to bring him some clothes in case the effects of the potion finally wore off. It's too late now, but it's still something that needs to be remedied.
So he can only hope he didn't wake anyone else, however unlikely, as he makes a frantic grab for his tablet— and ends up toppling right out of bed with a loud thud. So much for not waking anyone. ]

Exactly. Well, if you catch one you can find out about any others. I'm sure you can do it.
[ Reassuring words accompanied by the best reassuring smile he can muster. ]

[She worries of the tactics they will have to employ.
Softly, entreating for further reassurance:] This will have a good ending, won't it, Lavi? Not a happy one, [ she knows better than to hope for that ] but a good one?
no subject
Yeah, they'll talk and we'll have a cure in no time, you'll see. And then once I'm out . . . [ He's gonna go bury his face in so many books. But that's more job-related, so he tries thinking of something else he would like to do once he's released. ]
Ah, I know! We should all go have dinner together.
[ He lowers his voice and leans in conspiratorially. ]
Because between you an' me, the hospital's food is not that great.
no subject
She hadn't allowed herself to consider how badly she misses seeing everyone eat together. Allen's dinner party just hadn't- panned out the way she remembers group meals being.]
I have some money saved up. We could go somewhere nice. [ rel..atively ]
no subject
And really, the hospital food just plain sucked. After eating it for so long, he'd kill to have a decent meal. ]
I didn't spend any of mine so that shouldn't be a problem. [ If Allen behaves a little. ] Maybe we can find some place that has soba? We gotta drag Yu along so that might make him more inclined.
no subject
I should be able to convince him to come either way.
no subject
Yeah, if it's you, I'm sure he can't refuse. Ah, speaking of which . . .
[ He should call Kanda over for clothes. He (carefully so as not to move the sheets too much) reaches over and grabs his tablet, dropping it in his lap before he adopts a thoughtful expression. Now how can he get Kanda to come over. ]
no subject
[And politely averts her gaze, busying her fingers with the folds in her trousers (it is a habit she had not come here with, since neither had she arrived with trousers as her bottom of choice).]
He's going to be irritable about having to come all the way down here, but I'm sure he'll be relieved that it's worn off.
no subject
He's always irritable about everything though. So . . .
[ Why not just piss him off completely? Surely that'll work out well! He keeps the tablet in his lap, low enough for Lenalee to read along if she does look back, tapping away one-handedly about how he's dying. ]
No way he can say no to this. [ Because contrary to what he wants people to believe, Kanda isn't heartless. ]

It'll be fine, don't worry! I'll distract him from getting too mad. [ Somehow. ]
no subject
If he tries to cut you up, I make no promises to rescue you.
no subject
He's coming! I'm telling ya, it's going to be fine. I know how to handle Yu. [ More like know exactly what buttons to press to really annoy him. ]
no subject
You know how to rile him up.
no subject
[ Look at this smile, it shows he knows exactly what he's doing. ]
1/2
If you're sure. [ she shan't rule out the possibility of a shiner until the outcome of this rendezvous has been decided ]
no subject
Will you be all right if I leave a little early?
no subject
But no really, he does actually intend not to piss Kanda off too much for once, mostly because he wants him to stick around for a bit. He's confident he can pull it off for the most part. (But it is Kanda you never know.) ]
Sure, he'll be here soon anyway. You should rest up.
no subject
I've done my resting. [ pats the chair, smiling, but the shadows beneath her eyes betray what she says (it matters less, this exhaustion, than keeping watch over her flock) ] But even so, I think a meal and bath would do some good. I'll come by again, after. Once you're decent.
no subject
And yeah, there's a skeptical expression that crosses his face, because if there's anything that falling asleep in a chair by his bedside shows, it's how exhausted she must really be. But well, he can't object to a meal and a bath to relax so he smiles again. ]
Alright. Just wake me up if I'm asleep.
no subject
Don't be silly. And don't keep yourself up, either, or the nurses will have your head for putting a strain on yourself.
no subject
He's just going to . . . whine. Gracefully. ]
Gimme a break. I've been sleeping so much, it's ridiculous even for me. The nurses can't complain. So just wake me up.
no subject
We'll see, Lavi!
no subject
Take care, alright?
no subject
[ and his failure is what she is banking on— Lavi is so much like her brother for his capability to sleep anywhere, but he always did have a bad habit when it came to assigned bedrest
If you've been good, I'll bring you a coffee.
