They thought that trips to Alaska and getting shots would be the beginning of a relaxing break. Instead they got quarantines and bombs and people getting mad at them. Big. Sigh.

[Monica has been dropping by Asch's house daily, not always noticed by him, despite not having the man's explicit permission or agreement to to do so. That's fine in her book, honestly. If he only saw her once every few days, he didn't have to know about the cloaked figure who sit on a rooftop a couple buildings away and watch who went in and out of his place. Christopher Chareau de Red was more than just an idiot but not one she had to be afraid of -- he liked to dance around as much as she had -- and the children were just children. But this man is weird.

She thinks of Dalton, of Paramedes, of Archangelo. The "Professors" as she had called them only months ago.He felt sort of like Archangelo, from the way he carried himself. She didn't like it.

She takes her mask off and cloak as she drops down a street or two away, then walks like any ordinary woman would toward the house. Well, she would have to forfeit the ordinariness a little, she thinks -- with the bombing, the most ordinary thing to do would be to stay underground.]

[Jade looks up from where he is busy heating a flask.] Can I help you?

[She smiles, inclines her head slightly then lowers herself in a polite curtsy.]

I'm just a visitor. I hadn't realized Asch was living with another person.

[A curtsey. Well, Jade would reply with a bow, but it really isn't his style except in front of kings and people who are actually irritating him. In a way, a lack of a bow is a sign of a certain amount of respect.] As I understand it, he's sharing the residence with quite a few people at this point. He seems to enjoy collecting strays.

Yes, he's a very generous person, isn't he? He said he'll allow me to work here once he gets everything set up, too!

[clinical]

My, it seems he's becoming quite generous in his old age. [Well, it's no matter to him if Asch wants to continue to take in strays.] I didn't know he had intentions to start up the restaurant here.

I'll have to ask him again later. The only time I spoke to him properly was here and it's the only location I know since he was sick.
