Kaede had been a decent enough girl to share a room with. Kind and understanding, which was more than she could've said for so many of the other people she had dealt with before. And she was young, which only added to Kerrigan's... concerns.
The former Queen followed the coordinates easily enough, not really minding so much the increased tensions and hostilities with the city natives. If they were smart, they'd leave her alone. She keeps her eyes open for any movement though her mind is able to pick up on someone else's presence. One of the so-called benefits of being a psychic.]
You around here, Kaede?

Hi. I hope getting here wasn't too troublesome with the way the natives are being towards us now.
no subject
I'm used to it.
[Sure, she wasn't the Queen of Blades anymore, but that didn't stop others from giving her nasty glares. The crew members of the Hyperion, and the Umojans... just for starters.]
What you did just now... How'd you do it?

She cants her head at the inquiry, debating how to answer this without revealing Kido's power too much. Just giving the basic function is fine, right? It's not as if saying it the way Kido explained it to her would change the overall effect. ]
Remember how I said I could copy someone else's power by touching them? Well, one of my roommates can make herself invisible, and I accidentally touched her before leaving to meet with you. I thought it'd be best to use it with the natives being nasty, and my hoodie isn't exactly something that blends in well with the surroundings...

Invisibility huh? Must come in pretty handy.
[She says, having experienced it so many times already.]
Sounds like you've been taking care of yourself just fine.

Being hated by the people you're trying to help out... Yeah, I can definitely see how he'd have a problem with that.

You know, if I had heard that from anybody else, I wouldn't have actually believed them. [True story.]

[ She runs a hand through her hair, looking away for a moment before looking back at Kerrigan. ] It must sound weird — hearing me talk about stuff like this. It sounds weird to me. I've only been here for three months and I feel like I've changed so much...

If it means anything, I think you've handled all of this pretty well, and not everyone can do that.
no subject
Thank you. I've tried to handle it as well as someone my age can. I can't exactly fall on the ground and act like a five-year-old...
Has anyone from your world shown up recently?
no subject
Jim Raynor. Maybe you've heard of him, maybe not. We've known each other for years and have... been through a lot.
[that's an understatement.]

[ Kaede's eyes dart to the sky and the unrelenting rain, looking for a change in the sky's color to indicate where the day is going. It is a hard habit to break, but she still catches herself looking up at the sky every now and then.
She looks back at Kerrigan as she pulls up the hood of her jacket. ]
Ah, I should let you go now. I have some people to check on, and I don't want to keep you from doing the same if you wish to, as well. [ The hood shifts back a bit as she smiles. ] But it was still nice to talk with you and check up on you.
no subject
Right, it was... nice to see you again too, Kaede.
Let me know if you ever need anything, and don't be a stranger.

[ And with those final words (for now), she leaves the covering the building has provided them and disappears out of sight with a quick glow of blue. ]
