[ At first Lavi doesn't even notice. Hardly anything of the subdued hustle and bustle goes noticed for that matter. Not the footsteps, the chatter in the distance and not the sound of wheels coming to a stop next to him. He's too busy focusing on his breathing as a way to stay with it. It's only when she speaks that Lavi finally takes note because that voice is familiar (and it feels strangely nostalgic too) but it takes him a small moment to place it. Collette. Dear Collette whose name occasionally made his heart ache with old memories and who introduced him to movies. How could he ever forget her? It feels absurd now that he didn't remember anything about his stay here.
Lifting his head feels like too much effort, but he glances over at her from the corner of his eye and he surprises himself with the way the corners of his mouth twitch up into a wry smile. ]
