[Shintaro drops his head into his hands and sighs heavily, peering across the table at Momo and wondering how the heck this was going to work out. Their mission was pretty simple: change the slogan of a huge LED screen in the middle of the city without getting noticed. But that was exactly the problem, wasn't it?

Of course, if Momo could control her attention-seeking tendencies then all he had to do was hope she could cause a distraction while he snuck into the control rooms and edited the slogans. He could probably think of some words. Those would probably end up less embarrassing than some of the lyrics he'd written in the past. It was simple. If Momo could control her eyes. Could she?]

... So. Can you do it?

[She's very still as he speaks, looking away momentarily. Then, slowly, she nods.]

...Okay. All right, I promise. But... But I'll still do my best! I really will!

[substitutable]

Good. [All right little sister, you ready for this? He raises a hand and pats her head once before turning around to go.]

See you later.

[eyecaptivating]

Be careful! [She lets him do it without protest. Once he's sufficiently far away from her, Momo turns around herself, moving further into the park. Well.

Here goes.

She looks back over her shoulder, ensuring her brother's far away enough, before making to pull off the cap.]

[Shintaro's trusting Momo. She's clumsy and not the brightest crayon in the box despite how bright her clothes are, but right now he's got to trust her like he was able to trust Ene at the mall back home, because if he doesn't believe that she can do it, he'll end up distracted and they'll both fail. He's sure he can do it. A task like this, he was used to problem-solving and dealing with computers and he's sure it won't be completely difficult. He can do it. He's got to.

So he doesn't look back as he makes his way to the building, managing to get past any present security and wondering if he accidentally turned into Kido as he sneaks around. It's not too hard to find the room...]

[Once the cap's off, she holds herself very still, surveying the area around her in silence. All right. Until however long it takes Shintaro to finish... She cannot let them look away from this spot.

She doesn't waste any more time though. After ensuring they'll all be compelled to look at her, after willing it, she waits a moment... Then smiles, raising her right hand slightly in a wave.]

Hi... [she begins softly, carefully considering her words. She still needs to be able to make a quick getaway later, after all.] What a nice day!

[He thinks it's fortunate that Momo isn't known as a super idol in this city. If she was, even the smallest bit of attention she called in would cause her a lot of trouble. Still he's got to be quick, to be sure she'll be okay. He moves as quickly as he possibly can to look through the computers, finding which controls what and which buttons lead him where.

In the end, it takes maybe fifteen minutes. In fifteen minutes he's managed to change the LED displays and he's hightailing it out of the building before security notices him and starts their chase. He runs as fast as he can, without losing his energy, and he calls for Momo's name!!]

[It takes some effort, but she manages to keep all eyes on her for the necessary amount of time.

Even so, Shintaro's shout can't come fast enough. The very moment she hears her name, Momo jams the cap back on her head and turns on her heel, quickly setting off at a run again.

By the time she catches up to her brother, she's panting for breath, but grinning.] We... [Gasp.] We did it! We did it!

[He flashes her an approving sort of grin as he grabs her hand and runs into an alleyway to avoid anybody still following her. It's fortunate that nobody shows up because he notices too late that it's a dead end...]

... We did it.

I can't believer we just did that.

[eyecaptivating]

[Once she's realized where they are as well, she stops to catch her breath, huffing out a laugh.]

But we did it! We really, really did it! It was...

Hehe, it was kind of exciting!

[substitutable]

[His shoulders slump, and while she laughs he lets out a deep sigh, sounding relieved.]

Exciting? Well-- I guess. It's not a bad thing.

... Let's wait a few minutes. Then we can go back to the hotel and wait to be brought back. Do you need anything first?

[eyecaptivating]

You guess? [Gosh, where's your sense of adventure!] We've never done anything like that before! It was really, really exciting!

[And nowhere near as life threatening as other, more recent, events. That's important, as far as she's concerned.

She shakes her head though.] Um... No! I don't need anything. We can go back to the hotel.

[substitutable]

[He's not an adventurous person! He's really glad it was successful, and safer. He considers it lucky they didn't run into any security, especially armed ones. He's glad they didn't run into any crazy political supporters or opposers.]

... Well, I do. I think we can stop by somewhere and get snacks; we haven't eaten anything but Exsilium food in months.

[eyecaptivating]

[She immediately brightens when he says that, eyes widening. Of course! Of course!! For once, he's got the right idea here.]

Ah, yes! Yes, let's go get snacks, let's go get snacks! We should get everything we can find that we can't get there. A-and we should take some back, too.

[A laugh and she picks up some speed.] Come on, don't be slow!

[He knew that might cheer her up more. He quickens his pace to follow and keep up with her.]

Well, Kano won't let us rest if we don't bring him back anything, so of course we've got to.

[eyecaptivating]

Not just Kano though! We can bring some back for everyone! And for ourselves, too, hehehe...

He can just share! [There's a definite spring to her step now as she keeps moving.] I think there were some shops near the hotel, too.

[substitutable]

He does that at least. We should get things like hard candy -- those won't go bad as quickly as chocolate. Maybe some canned fruit if we can find some, too.

[eyecaptivating]

[She nods.] Hard candy and fruit and...

[...Squid?? Oh no, oh no, she can't say that! Shintaro will make fun of her!] ...And a lot of things! Everything we can carry that won't go bad quickly!

So you're going to want your old man snacks, right?

[eyecaptivating]

[Despair.

She freezes for a moment, but quickly looks over her shoulder and back, pulling the hat a little lower.

No, no, no, no! If anyone heard him...]

Don't say that, don't say that, don't say that out here! I-I don't eat old man snacks!

[substitutable]

Why not? It's not like anyone's going to care -- chances are we're not going to see anybody from here ever again. You totally eat old man snacks, don't even deny it.

[eyecaptivating]

You don't know that! [What if, what if, what if

She fidgets with the hat some more, frowning.] A-anyway, it doesn't matter if they're old man snacks! It doesn't!

[substitutable]

I never said they did! I mean-- you like them don't you? So get them. Who knows when we can get them next.

[eyecaptivating]

[She hesitates, resisting the urge to look over her shoulder again, before...] Fine... Fine!

I-I'll get them! But don't say anything!

[You just don't understand how good they are, Shintaro.]

[He blinks at her.

Then turns ahead.

And starts listing all the weird snacks he's ever seen her eat after saying "maybe you can get these too"]
