[Closed] On the holodeck
Date & Time: July 27th, afternoon
Location: The VR Training Room
Characters: Commander Shepard and Garrus Vakarian
Summary: Honing skills so no one gets rusty, probably sass mouthing and maybe some semi-childish bickering.
Warnings: Silliness and friendly rivalry.
The VR simulation room is about as close to home as they're likely to get any time soon and for Shepard, who up until coming to Exsilium, spent most of her time on alien planets and in fluctuating states of gravity, doing weapons and tactical training in an environment capable of change is almost...-- she hesitates to say that she gets homesick, but sometimes she feels a pang a lot like it. But anyway, it's a hell of a lot better that time spent on the firing range aiming at paper targets from x number of yards away.
She hauls Garrus down for a session in the late afternoon, outfitted in full armor (no sense training in civvies) with the appropriate blanks loaded into her rifle so as not to wreck utter havoc on the VR. She's familiar enough with the system's controls and quickly keys into the network, outlining some set parameters for the session.
"I hope you're still up for storming a hostile base camp or two, Vakarian."

Doesn't make him feel any better knowing Shepard felt the same sort of pang, or something akin to it, for there is nothing much either of them can do about it. Not really.
When she makes the call he doesn't hesitate in the slightest, more than relieved for the excuse to leave his apartment, fully armored and armed with blanks. He rolls his shoulders, checking his sights while she punches in the parameters, the barest hints of a grin touching his generally inexpressive face.
"I could storm two with my eyes closed. Are you trying to put me to sleep Shepard?"

No, that's not a shit eating grin on her face. Not quite.

"Done, three base camps with more men, and a bomb about the blow up the planet within an hour for a little more incentive. How's that sound?"

You know what? Sure. Let him take point on this one. The novelty is strangely appealing. Once the VR is spinning and they're spat into the proverbial wasteland, Shepard pauses. Turns to him: "Alright hotshot, where to?"
