[closed] What would an ocean be without a monster lurking in the dark?
Date & Time: 04/08/13, night
Location: An alley somewhere in the city
Characters: Leviathan!Eridan(
caligulas_aquarium and Roslyn(
boughtabookstore)
Summary: Levi!Eridan has put up with his hunger really well but unfortunately when it gets particularly bad, he gets sloppy. Perhaps even worse, he finds he has company not before long.
Warnings: Possible violence.
[Pretending to be Eridan was far easier than anyone else, in his opinion - with the kid already being an irritable, rude and generally unlikeable type of person he didn't have to pretend to be nice or like anyone in the process of living amongst the transports. However, his hunger always gnawed at him, and this was the longest he had gone without feeding in quite some time - usually he would only feed on the outskirts or further into the outlands in order to keep out of sight, and in general his method of feeding was a lot neater, as not to raise any kinds of alarms.
So as he was wandering through the streets he found being amongst all the crowds was murder, the desire to simply turn on the nearest human and devour them whole regardless of who's looking nearly irresistible, but he's in luck once he spots a more solitary figure out on their own, a middle aged man minding their own business. He doesn't even have to follow them for long before they enter a more secluded area, a narrow alley between a pair of buildings out of the way and what he hopes is a quick and easy kill before anyone notices.]

She hadn't expected Eridan to be anything approaching predictable or easy to keep track of - it was enough to know that he was still here.
But when she hears a noise down an alleyway and turns down it, she really wasn't remotely expecting it to be Eridan and - that does look a great deal like attacking. ]
Eridan! [ Her voice is sharp and angry as she rests one hand on her service pistol. ] What are you doing?

Uh.
Hey Ros'.
[He puts one of his hands up in front of him, defensively, the other wiping it's sleeve against his mouth in order to clean up the remains of his "meal".]
I get this whole situation's lookin' awful suspicious but...I can explain.
[Meaning the corpse at his feet that looks like it just got savaged by a pack of wolves...or at least what's left of it.]

She had no illusions about Eridan's tendency towards violence and ability to kill, but she'd fought beside him in battle and never seen him kill like this, and - well, she couldn't see that he was gaining anything from this.
It didn't fit with what she knew of him. This wasn't the right scenario. ] Get started, then. It might take a little while.

[It's such a pain, pretending, but now even more-so with his ruse having been revealed. He thinks lowly of most other species, but humans especially, a habit that's hard to kick even with what he knows of the transport population and some of the things they can do.
What was that gun capable of? Could it actually kill him? Was it provided as a sentient weapon, having evolved to the point he's in danger here, or just a regular firearm?
Even with these thoughts running in his head, he can't help but shake the intense feeling of apathy he has, his expression visibly expressing that before he responds.]
I don't suppose you'd buy trolls eat people and this is just the first time you caught it in action?
no subject
Something here is very wrong. She's not a people person, but she tends to be a decent judge of character. She doesn't think she's wrong about him. Not this much. ]
Not a chance. Got anything better?
no subject
Nah, he just laughs.]
Alright! Alright, you got me. Give the lady a medal, someone. I'm not your little troll pal, you cracked the case, nicely done Agent Small, yadda yadda yadda.
no subject
Who are you, then? And what have you done with him?
no subject
[A rather crass chuckle, since they both know that's not very likely.]
But the last month really has not been kind on the old meatsuit, honestly I'm not sure if he's still even alive in here.
no subject
Certainly not without a fight. ]
If he's not, you're going to be very sorry. What are you?
no subject
[Only a half lie; he was brought here from another world, but not by the initiative.
Naturally, the threat goes ignored.]
no subject
And how do you come out?
no subject
[Another grin, fanged and sharp.]
That's the unfortunate part, isn't it? I don't.
