[OPEN] doctor; doctor; give me the news
Date & Time: Whenever
Location: Transport clinic
Characters: Err'ybody
Summary: Open log for clinic staff / patients -- get an interview to join, see somebody about that horrible buzzing in the back of your head, etc
Warnings: nah
[Exsilium's transport clinic was in bad shape after the recent spate of bombings and epidemics and so forth. Some of the walls were broken and crumbling, the supplies on all fronts were extraordinarily low, and morale was not at its greatest height.
But time has passed. The walls are restored, the supplies are (mostly) restocked, and things are running somewhat smoothly again. Of course, the clinic is perpetually understaffed and overworked, given the turbulent nature of its employee roster. Furthermore, they have a burgeoning problem to deal with: unruly natives who, despite taking advantage of its services in the past, now see the clinic as symbolic of the Transports' intrusion. If you're working the front desk, you may have an altercation or two on your hands lately--though these malcontents could easily be uncooperative patients or saboteurs trying to loot the file cabinets.
Day-to-day operations haven't stopped, though. The clinic continues to accept anyone in need of medical attention or advice of any kind, from a small cough in the chest to a great, gushing wound in the leg. Or perhaps a severe bite from one of the wandering mutant beasts during an ill-fated trip to the outlands. In any case, the clinic is here to serve.]

Hi there. What can I help you with?
no subject
Ah- I wanted to know if there was a chance I could work in the clinic?
[ She's a bit shaky, but decided. ]

What's your name, girl? What do you want to do here?

[ She takes a breath. ]
When I arrived, the Initiative...they make my scarf my "weapon". It does...it can heal people.
[ And her scarf glows a bit as if it had heard and needed to show it wasn't all talk. ]
So I thought...maybe I could help.
no subject
Really.
[Magical garments aren't unknown to him, but he has to admit he's rarely seen them with direct healing powers.]
Do you know the extent of its abilities? Have you used it here yet?

[ She also leans forward. It's a miracle she doesn't trip and faceplant the floor right there.
When the virus was around, it kept me healthy while I used it. And I've used it a bit...but I haven't really tested it?
[ She was just helping people, so yeah. ]

[He lifts a hand; makes a circling gesture with his index finger.]
Wrap it around someone's neck? And it does the rest of the work?
no subject
Yes, but it also works if someone just grabs it. It's better when they wear it, I suppose.

[He slides a basic form over the desk -- it's the usual sort of information a person would expect at a job. Name, age, availability, some medical information, etc.]
Fill this out and we'll get you on shift.

Ayano grabs she form and starts filling it. ]
Just like that? I- Thanks!.
