[Three Transports are discretely dropped into a back alley, a few blocks away from a friendly, neighborhood corporate Walgreens. She glances down at Chrono and nods, then after a moment, offers him a hand]
And other things, but that first. Come on.
no subject
WHAT? Seriously?
no subject
—And then, of course, he's jolted out of it as he cranes his neck around to locate the voice. (Craning his neck does absolutely nothing because he would need a stool to see over the aisles.)]
Rosette-? [Another nervous glance at Tempest as he calls back.] What did you do now?
no subject
Wordlessly, she tugs Chrono in the direction Rosette's voice came from]
no subject
... What are you two doing?
no subject
And then remembers their hands.
He practically pinwheels in his haste to pull away, unsure why he feels cowed. (Or maybe, why he feels like a 12 year old being led through a store by their mother. Absurd.)]
Nothing-! Anyway, what's the matter?
no subject
Do not spend too long playing.
no subject
[She huffs, pushing up her sleeves. She had been in the middle of a very serious search for aspirin when the PRICES OF THESE THINGS...]
Can you believe how much this costs?
no subject
no subject
Beats me. Maybe it's some sort of new fangled beauty thing?
no subject
He hands it back to her, shrugging.]
If it isn't what we came here for, we don't have to worry about it, right? We're not here to window shop.
no subject
Haaa, even this early, they have cold cures... I wonder if we should get some too.
no subject
Maybe... [Pauses, squinting at a box.] They have cures for things I've never even heard of...
no subject
Maybe they have different diseases in the future.
no subject
He rounds the corner of the isle, peering across the store.]
Tempest? Did you find gauze yet?
no subject
That and other things.
no subject
[She drops the bottle of laxatives into the cart without thought and peeks around the corner.]
no subject
Did we need other things...?
no subject
Medicines called ibuprofen and acetaminophen. And I suppose anything else that would be useful. [she waves the bottle at him] Pain relievers.
