I need a helping hand
Date & Time: The last week. Just about anytime.
Location: Outside Unit 107. Sup Shepard.
Characters: Miranda and you! (So very open)
Summary: Someone needs some hobbies. And friends. Until then, one ex-Cerberus Cheerleader is just going to be walking by Shepard's apartment. Often.
Warnings: None?
[Like just about every other day, Miranda isstalking walking past Shepard's room for the 25902434th time that day. She can be seen tinkering with her omni-tool, which she's rigged up to sync with her netbook.
Without the threat of the Reapers hanging overhead, she feels at a loss of what to do. The last few years of her life have revolved around Shepard. In the new setting, she wasn't certain of her purpose anymore. She was restless and directionless and hesitant to offer support to the Initiative.
So really, it left her with not a whole lot to do. When she wasn't in her room sleeping, she was training. When she wasn't training, she was working on her omni-tool. Now that she had finished the sync, she had more time on her hands than she knew what to do with. Thus, the pacing.]

He spots the woman pacing, and can't help but ... well, watch. It's her fault for being genetically engineered to be attractive, obviously, but it's a -- welcome sort of distraction. Eventually, though, he does move to talk to her.]
You're going to wear a trench around that suite if you aren't careful, you know.

Miranda looks up from her Omni-tool, pulled from a dazed thought of back home. She sighed to herself- she did too much damn thinking here. There wasn't anything to keep her occupied and she was slowly going crazy. She takes a slow breath in to regain her composure. She almost, almost gives in to the need to talk to someone. Instead, her tone is dismissive.]
I'm certain the concrete is designed to handle repeated traffic.
[She shrugs him off and goes back to her omni-tool. This time, leaning against the wall to pretend like she isn't stalking Shepard.]

I wouldn't put it past them to have overlooked that. What these people forget to do could fill the Circle tower.
[Alistair peers over to the omni-tool with some interest.]
That's a neat -- whatever it is. Did they give it to you here?
no subject
On the contrary: I was lucky enough to come here with it.

[He's always good for some entertainment, most people will readily admit to that.]
Must be easier to adjust.

From what I understand, the place I am from is considered 'medieval'.
[He stretches the word out -- med-ee-evil.]
Personally, I don't see where slaying dragons makes you less capable!
no subject
Hello, Miranda. [He said politely. He looked at the unit number although he did not know who lived there.]
What are you doing here?
no subject
Ico, nice seeing you out. I was starting to think we'd never cross paths outside of our apartment. What have you been up to? Me? I've just been getting some fresh air.
no subject
I needed some money so I cleaned a few stores. I also looked around this city. It’s the biggest one I’ve ever seen. Did you see that clock tower? I bet you can see a lot from up there.
[He looked in the direction of Big Ben. His Mark and sword made him look so small, but his body was strong.]
I think I’ll climb it someday soon. Then I’ll see everything.
no subject
[She looks over at the tower. Her years in the air have given her little room to be impressed by ordinary buildings. Although her curiosity of Earth's relics was piqued.]
Be careful, okay? We wouldn't want you having another unfortunate accident. How close are you to paying for your earlier damages?
no subject
[He smiled confidently.] Don’t worry about me; I was just surprised that time. I’m from Toksa, it’s a small village but there are many trees there. I used to climb them all the time. It is bigger than the trees but I looked at it before, there’s plenty to grab onto so it won’t be difficult at all.
[As a show of his skill, he leapt onto the rail and balanced on it. It was easy for him and he even walked on it.]

[Color her impressed. She likes to see a hard working youngster. She smiles fondly at him.]
You're certainly adventurous. I bet you got into all sorts of trouble back home.
no subject
What about you, where are you from? Does it have big towers like this one?
no subject
It's becoming something of a familiar sight, even if he does not know the woman personally. He didn't really pay it much attention at first... but now it's become a bit more difficult not to notice. )
I think at this point, I might just have to consider you one of my neighbors as well.
no subject
She gives him a small, tight smile. Socializing still doesn't come easy for her. A childhood devoid of friends and an adulthood of keeping people at arm's length rendered her incapable of anything more than restrained civilities.]
In a way, I suppose we are. I'm only a few flights up.
[Y e p. Playing it cool. It's a coincidence, okay :|a]
no subject
Ah, I see. ( He cannot help glancing upwards briefly, before turning his attention downwards with a nod. It's okay, he can play it cool too. ) Well then, I do try to introduce myself to all my neighbors. Hope Estheim, nice to meet you.
no subject
She lets out a small sigh. It's no use pretending she doesn't want to at least be polite.]
Where were you off to? Seeing Vanille again?
[Standing outside of Shepard's place has given her far too much time to observe and learn.]
no subject
When she opens the door, it's really not a surprise to see Miranda there, idly stalking her. It's almost as if Legion were here, to be honest.
Her eyebrows furrow together as she purses her lips.] Miranda, really. People are going to start thinking weird things if they keep catching you out here. Why don't you just... knock? Or walk in? [A short pause as she smirks.] Or meet people?
no subject
It's not as if I don't live around here, either. And let them think what they want. It's not illegal to walk by your apartment, Commander.
[Slightly quieter.] Besides, I'm sure you have other things to do than keep my company.
[She looks taken a back.] I've...met people.
no subject
[A quick shake of her head.] Not particularly. There's nothing to really get done here in between missions.
[Uh huh.] By that, do you mean you've met my neighbors?
no subject
[Her voices raises slightly.] They're my neighbors, too. [She sighs and runs a hand through her hair.] I've always known I wasn't cut out for civilian life. I can only hope Joker finds a way to get us airborne.
no subject
[A grin.] You and me both, on both fronts. But I doubt Joker will be able to, and where would we go?
no subject
Anywhere. It's been a long time since I was grounded. Even while I was putting you back together I was at least in space. Maybe next time around I'll be able to go off on adventure like yours.
no subject
Ha. I haven't been grounded this long since... [Oh right. A frown flickers across her face.] My six month isolation treatment in Vancouver.
